I’m not holding my breath expecting Ty to make huge strides with his shooting, but it’s not unheard of for a big (back to basket guy) to expand his shooting range out to 10-12 feet as he develops. So I could see that happening. Much more unlikely that he develops a 3-point shot this offseason IMO.
Not impossible, but I think it’s just not realistic. Like, if we saw Ty take even a few jumpers I’d be with you. I think he’s at a place where any sort of jump shot he takes would be considered a bad shot in any given offensive set. Would love to be wrong.

He honestly might already have a bit of a mid range game that we haven't seen yet. Mid range shots aren't an efficient shot type so it could be as simply as the staff telling him they don't want him shooting those in game.

We really haven't seen Ty shoot all that much(about 5 shots per game). TSJ and Domask were ball dominant and Coleman was the third option.

I highly doubt that Ty can't shoot at all. He's been playing on the perimeter since at least high school, is seen shooting 3s in his high school highlights, and made a huge jump in free throw shooting between his freshman and sophomore seasons.

I'm not saying you necessarily want him shooting much from there but I don't see any reason Ty can't shoot around 30% from 3 if teams are leading him wide open. We've already seen someone like Coleman develop into a good shooter and Damonte turn into an ok one if wide open.

I hear you, but they were giving him wide open free throw line jumpers last year and he wasn’t taking them sounding think the staff would tell anyone to turn those down- I think he just didn’t have confidence in his shot and chose not to shoot jumpers. I do think he can develop a better jumper and gain confidence though

Frankly I’d rather him wait until he’s proficient with it before he starts using it in games unlike Coleman who for three years shot 28% or under each year from 3, but kept jacking them up- he finally got good at them but it was a painful three years watching him shoot

Ty Rodgers shooting or even attempting a 3-point shot? Excuse me while I haul my !!! up off the floor. Let's try for a 6 foot shot and see how that works out.

Coleman definitely put up way too many as a jr(28% on 4 attempts a game is atrocious) also a lot of questionable shot decisions that were basically turnovers.

However Ty just flashing the ability to shoot a bit when left wide open could at least help create some space. Even something like Royce White going 4/12 on the season.

I've heard Riley top 3 remains the same ... AZ simply cannot compete NIL wise with what we are offering in addition to Kentucky and Alabama ... They may be able to go get some funds and get back in the race but as of now they are out ... Arkansas is making a push to add one more guy ... And they are leaning a certain direction that isn't Riley as of now ...

If Riley is set on 2024 ... It's pretty easy to see that PT and shots would be tough to come by at Bama ... You're probably behind Robinson, Oweh, and Brea at UK ...

And he could start from Day 1 here ...

That's not me saying we are a lock to get the kid ... But I think we have a better sell than anyone else and there is a reason we wanted the first visit ...

Top 3 definitely includes Kentucky and Bama... Kind of like Cam Whitmore's recruitment, Who had Illinois with UNC and Villanova a few years ago

Commit watch over the next couple days?

Initially read that as "a-hole" at the 4

Doesn't this hypothetical person want to go to a football school? Arkansas has been pretty weak in that regard. Very Illiniesque

I would expect a decision from him following his visits ... Everyone I talk to say he is going to re-class ... Taking these 3 visits and going into decision mode ...

I've seen crazier things happen but the rush to get all 3 of these visits in immediately and his circle having all 3 of these programs ensure that he could enroll this summer is probably not a coincidence ...
