Sometimes he's a reliever but they even move him around in the bullpen in different roles. He has said he prefers to be a reliever at this point because he can mentally prepare with the possibility that he may be asked to pitch each day.

How many years does he need to take the temperature and say... my porridge still isn't the correct temperature. But I will trade a fringe player for another fringe player and say we'll I didn't want to give up the farm. And you know that player that would have been given up for a player like Soto and we kept a player like Carlson because he was too valuable.
I still believe there is a fundamental flaw in our hitting program from low level to the majors and that we are about to cut bait again on another young player who is going to probably bite us in the @$$ somewhere else.

Yeah was excited about the trade deadline a week ago…not so much now. How did our farm go from being one of the best under Walt to one of the worst now??? Gonna be a long road back.
