Former White Sox pitcher Fedde and outfielder Pham get out from under one of the worst teams in MLB history and get to join a contender in The Lou. They get to play meaningful ball for the reason of the Season rather than on a club pursuing the worst record an MLB team has ever seen.
Fedde and Pham were true professionals on the South Side of Chicago. Though they played in a depressing losing environment... they always played with energy and were true pros. The tried to be leaders on a team without any other leaders.
And as a Sox fan... we live for the day when even the White Sox can actually be contenders again. It's fun when Cardinal fans come to the right side of town (on the South Side) and play spirited ball against the Sox. A new budding great rivalty if the Sox ever get it together.

I like the trade. Fedde will slot in the spot of Pallante/Liberatore at this point. Pham gives them a right handed bat they need, especially among the outfielders (Carlson is a switch hitter; the others are all lefties).
