They brought up a good point towards the end of today's broadcast. Going into the game on Mother's Day in Milwaukee, the Cardinals were 9 games out of first and 9 games under .500. After today's game, they're 4.5 games out of first (assuming Washington doesn't come back today) and 4 games over .500. With where the team was back on Mother's Day, I'm sure we would have gladly taken being in this position in the standings and relative to .500 now.

2025 MLB Schedule was announced earlier this week. Cardinals season opener and home opener will be on March 27 vs. Minnesota. Biggest change to schedule next season will be interleague rivalry series being 3-game series in each city rather than the 2-game series in each city they have done in recent years.

First series against the Brewers will be April 25-27 in St. Louis. First series in Milwaukee will be June 12-15.

First Cubs-Cardinals series will be June 23-26 in St. Louis. First trip to Wrigley is July 4-6.
