Ayton looked like the real deal too, but he wasn't proven like Luka.
Yeah it's just a mistranslation of the level Arizona is playing at versus the level Real Madrid is playing at.

There's never been another Luka, it was so off the radar screen of what any other teenagers had accomplished in adult European basketball. Ricky Rubio was a capable and productive player at that level at the same age, but nowhere near as dominant. And the thing with that draft was, people understood that but talked themselves out of it during the draft process. That groupthink can be a killer.

Anyone else think Domask could end up in the league on a couple of two-ways? Just feels like he has the kind of crafty game that can make it for a period of time.
I find that notion absolutely ridiculous but I also find the notion of Tyler Kolek as a first round draft pick absolutely ridiculous for the same reason (an undersized minus athlete whose game depends on fooling people around the basket) so what the heck to do I know?

After watching Jaylon Tate tear up the CBA for a bit, never say never.

Who is he guarding? If your premise is that Edey can't play because he can't guard... I mean... a 6'2" kid with a 6'3" wingspan is going to slow down Tyrese Maxey or SGA?
He'd better be more Steph Curry than Jimmer Fredette. Could go either way.
Edey won't be able to guard any NBA PnR actions while also only being able to do one offensive move that doesn't really fit into modern offenses.

Reed was an *excellent* defender this year for his size, especially on-ball while he could struggle on that end against much stronger guards he's shown he can be at worst serviceable, especially if he can put on a bit more weight. On top of that he fits seamlessly into what current teams want to do on offense.

Curious how much pull LeBron has at this stage of his career to get Bronny drafted. "agent Rich Paul says the son of LeBron James is not interested in signing a two-way deal". LeBron keeps saying he won't be swayed by a team that drafts him, presumably to keep his leverage and options open, but why else would you?

It'll be the Lakers.

Bronny has no business in the NBA, and him being drafted is still less ridiculous than hiring Lebron's podcast co-host as head coach.

That bubble title is doing a lot of work in masking the stink of what has happened to that franchise since Jerry Buss died.

A smaller Larry Bird says hello...and there are a lot of people who have made a living fooling people at the bucket...

I mean Wemby just basically did all the same stuff as Luka just in France instead of Spain.

I think he likely ends up in the g league for a bit before playing overseas but stranger things have happened.

It will really come down to his jump shot. He's a lights out free throw shooter so he has the tools to improve as a 3pt shooter. If he can do that at a high enough clip then who knows what happens.

Malcolm Hill has stuck around the g league and had a couple cups of coffee in the league and he is no better of an athlete than Marcus.

I do think that simply from the perspective of his personality and how he adapted throughout the season that a lot of front offices and scouts probably like that.

I have limited knowledge about what the NBA is looking for but what is the difference between TSJ and Knecht?
Both 6'6", 23 years old, had very similar stats... but Knecht somehow has a 98% chance of being selected in the lottery and TSJ has 5%?
That does not make sense to me

A team like the Celtics makes sense for TSJ. Two aging guards are paired with Tatum and Brown. Can see TSJ providing an offensive and defensive spark off the bench.

He is also a more cost effective option to replace guys deeper in the rotation with much more upside.

On the Bill Simmon's Podcast on Sunday, Russillo had a great take that a lot of players in this draft can *see* where to go....but don't have the athleticism to get to their spots. He made that point while saying Shannon is one of the only people that when he sees a lane, he explodes and always gets there.

Great to see national guys seeing the same thing we did all season, I dunno if I've ever seen a player for us so explosive like TSJ
