The only team I can remember with this type of depth was the '85 team - they had Norman, Meents, Schaefer, Haffner and Tony W off the bench - 3 guys who ended up playing in the league and a couple of solid multi-year starters (Shaef at Iowa State)

So, ummmm, I feel extremely confident in saying we won’t be playing any 38-33 games.
The offseason could not have gone any better. The staff absolutely crushed it. Just as importantly, everyone will be here by July so that gives everyone several months to work with Fletch, practice, and get comfortable with one another. That is HUGE to have several months to mesh as a group.

Both can be true. Both of those guys are huge question marks and yes, an 18 year old is going to have a jump on them, which could ruffle some feathers.Sleepers logic:
Illinois needs a star wing so bad and Tre white and humrichous have huge questions.

When you rebuild your entire roster through the portal and with a couple of high profile recruits...this is what you get. Brad has one heck of a task at hand.

This team won't start the season in the top 25 and that's not a knock. There's just no way of us knowing anything at this point. This is a roster full of guys with a TON of upside, but we have no clue what they can actually do at the level, especially when you take expectations into consideration.
