Good for him. Think K-state is an interesting fit.
I'd expect him to potentially get some mins at the 3 based on their additions. Will they be able to play Coleman, Achor, and Onyenso at the same time?
Of course, Coleman and Achor could both play 30 mins and Onyenso could get 20 just spelling them but that's not as fun to think about.
Dug McDaniel can score but I think season might depend on if Max Jones, CJ Jones, and Hauser. If those 3 fall flat they're going to have very ugly guard play.

I know I didn’t say it was a bad thing to go for the money and I’m pretty sure I didn’t imply it. It was more of a question about KSU in a not so exciting location. Like I said, happy for him and happy that he’s getting paid so well.

This will hurt everyone next year. What are Coleman's accomplishments, 2nd/3rd team All Big Ten his Sr year?
If a guy like that gets $2 million, what are these guys that have got multiple all conference awards under their belt, or 1st team awards under their belt going to want? Or heaven forbid being on an AA team.
I'd imagine you're also going to see guys drag their recruitments out. If they were both coming from other teams, I'd rather have AJ Storr than Hawkins, and Hawkins got 67% more money than Storr. Even if you'd prefer Hawkins, no one could honestly say you like him $800,000 more.
We've seen in all professional sports, salaries never go down. Once one guy sets the bar, it just gets higher next year. So if a guy like Hawkins is getting $2 m, you better start making those donations now, because higher regarded players next year are going to want more. Good for Hawkins, but don't think it's so good for college basketball.

I honestly like our chances if it's between us and KY. Baylor might be a problem though...
Some might be like...
"oh...the fit might not work" - that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. #1 - he's a take no matter what the fit is. #2 - we've had great success with 3 guard starting fives before - 2021 and 2022 we had a starting five of three guards.
Kylan, KJ, Jasper - that honestly might form the best trio of guards in the nation...and we honestly would have a chance to be a MONSTER of a team!

Armstrong was the Head Coach of Link Academy the past 2 years. So, I'd imagine Baylor is the leader in the clubhouse.
