It will be hard to see CoHawk in another uniform, but I will watch him every chance I get (especially when they play West Virginia) and root for him to have a tremendous season.

Coleman Hawkins, thanks for the memories and the laughs. Have a year and prosper in the league, young man.

That definitely could be a fun game to watch!

One question: Everyone is saying "go get that bag." Is he really getting paid any more than he would have if he had made it clear from the start of the offseason that he was staying in Champaign? I fully understand why at this point when there were no blue blood suitors coming back to Illinois wasn't an option for him. But is he really getting "a bag" at KSU?

Yup. That KSU vs. WVU game went from something I could not care less about to a must-watch. And, honestly, it'll be a situation where I just really hope everybody plays well.

Goodluck in Kansas Hawk! Be careful out there! might just want to wear a body cam just to be safe
Just stay away from Douglas County, and all should be fine.

But in all seriousness, that's a good situation. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for K-State going all the way back to the Lon Kruger days. My hometown school's primary color was purple, and Lon Kruger was a really good young coach as I was growing up. Obviously had the Weber connection for a lot of years as well. Hope Coleman has a great year at K-State, but not too good of a game if he happens to play Illinois at some point.

Kinda weird how many connections there are between KSU and Illinois.

We've had two coaches who went there (Lon and Brad), our former coach ended up there (Bruce), former player was an asst. there (Chester), both have valid reasons to hate Bill Self, and now CoHawk is going to finish his career there.
