This paying players with no form of cap is already out of control and it will get much worse.

My crystal ball agrees. There's no natural incentive to reign in spending. Even if the conferences come up with a solution, who's to stop some random fan who wants a player and has the wherewithal from bidding them up? Fans that want a winner will pour in the funds. But it's always been that way, just not on steroids like it is now.

I appreciate everyone's kind words. They mean a lot, even though we've never met, they still help. The O&B bond is a strong one and you have all proven that.

My ole man bled the colors like I did. This Pic will be next to the casket.

I lost mine yesterday to liver cancer. Truly a great man, friend and fellow Illini fanatic. He was a farmer that never turned on a computer so he couldn't have cared less about the "world wide web", but would always ask what I was hearing from the insiders.

He will be laid to rest with his favorite Illini hat and he'll have an Orange and Blue rose as well.

Happy Father's Day to All! This one is just extra special this year for me.

ILL!
I’m sorry for your loss.

Nice photo. I am sorry for you too. I lost my Dad 33 years ago due to Prostate Cancer. He was only 62. Lots of pain & grieving for decades until I had to force myself to stop. I still think of him every single day.

Great picture. Ironically, his facial expression matched mine following the Penn State game…

My thoughts and prayers to you and the entire family, drsmitty…My Dad passed at the end of last year so I know exactly what you’re going through. The words of support meant so much to me and they helped…Even when it’s anonymous folks on a message board it still means a lot. Hang in there, know that it’s okay to cry and be emotional. And also know that there are a lot of folks out there who are praying for you and supporting you.

Sorry for your loss. Don't be surprised to see some signs that he's definitely watching over you. Just be open to it.

This Riley waiting game has me very edgy. We have been in the lead like it's a lock. Now I'm feeling not so sure. A lot can happen in 6 days from now.

I am sure he was you have my heartfelt condolences on your lost,

The clock of life is wound but once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.
To lose one’s wealth is sad indeed,
To lose one’s health is more,
To lose one’s soul is such a loss
That no man can restore.
The present only is our own,
So live, love, toil with a will
Place no faith in “Tomorrow”
For the clock may then be still.

……. Robert H. Smith
