I think I saw limit was (or going to be) gotten rid of. Though I’m not sure if that was from the players or school’s POV or both.
As of 7-31-24 there will be no limit on official visits for NCAA men's/women's basketball.

We’ll see how it plays out but I think Morez takes on the Dainja role from later in the year last year …
Brad doesn’t care who starts … Best 5 are gonna play … And he loves having an elite guard, wing and big to bring off the bench … That would be Ty, Tre and Morez next year …

There have been a few times I’ve seen Brad this locked in on a kid … When he gets in this mode … People on the trail do not wanna be against him …

What happened to Illinois high school basketball? On that on3 list there is only one illinois kid on the top 100 and that is Fears. I know we recruit nationally but there is something special about seeing an illini commit at the state tourney. Hell Wisconsin has 2 in top 42!
Really? I get it but I want the big ten to be loaded. I want us to be the best conference in the country.

Rich Adams too. Kind of a left handed slightly less athletic Mike Davis. Tony Yates recruit from Cincinnati, under Bartow. Thought he would have made the NBA, but Lou made him play center.

Best 5 should start. That's a given. Based on practice results and game results. Like BU's moto concerning who gets minutes, "Players play players".
Some players are better coming off the bench after watching the other team for a few minutes, so I'd change that to "Best 5 should get the most PT"
That 1989 team really had 7 starters. Marcus started 24 games. Larry Smith started 9. Yes, that was due mainly to injuries.
Marcus, Nick Anderson, and Ervin Small were also hurt by the old partial qualifier rule.
They were on scholarships, but had to sit out their freshman years, no practice, no redshirt.
Kids leave and go to academies and prep schools. Just like both Fears did.
Buzelis may have been the number one recruit in the country last year and was from Hinsdale but left to go to Sunrise Christian before the G league. Morez stayed in state but all of Nojus, Brown, and Bell left after the blow up at St Rita last year.
I'm not super up to date on prep recruiting since I'm not living in Chicago at the moment but I know the 2027 class for IL looks absolutely loaded but who knows how many of those kids will leave in the next few years.

These prep schools aren't doing kids or the game of basketball any favors. These kids are nothing more than basketball workers they're tired of it before they get out of high school. Sometimes when you watch them play they look like they're working an eight hour shift at a dead end factory job.
Guy makes the national team and drops. I love it lol

The FIRST question asked would be what are you looking for in NIL. If there is a huge gap then don't pursue. It would be a horrible look to get a 5 star on campus, have him interested in program and then say we don't have the money
Sounds like the staff may not be as high on DGL as we on IL are? I assumed the minutes at the 1 and 2 would be split mainly between Bos, KJ, and DGL, with or without Riley.
Meleek Thomas is #7. Which uncommitted would we rather have and why?
