I know this sounds crazy but I think our chances of beating Minnesota are better now than if we had beaten (or even stayed close to) Oregon. We are the ones with our backs to the wall now. If we are for real our guys will come out like gang busters.

I thought his accuracy was fine against Michigan, we just didn't pass much and the coverage was tight while the pass protection wasn't great. He also threw another 4 really good balls where Michigan flat out held or interfered the intended receiver so if those were catches instead of never happened, his numbers would look better.

This Oregon game though, I agree. Luke was missing throws he hadn't missed all season. Some was pressure related, some was coverage and opponent speed, but yeah he looked way off from the get go, so like you, hoping he got his bad game out of the way and will be back to his stellar self down the homestretch
I agree he was as good as he needed to be vs Michigan, but he looked like he was having an existential crisis on the bench in the 4Q yesterday. He's got mental toughness so hopefully he bounces back

I thought Luke looked uneasy/doubtful/something-I-can't-put-my-finger-on, from the get-go ... at least when the TV camera caught him, even early on... He was definitely NOT in sync within himself in that game.... Something is not right...

cool

they've won their last three, we have a way worse injury situation, we just got done getting our $$$$$ whooped and they just got done hanging 50 on a solid b10 team coming who was coming off a win vs USC. quite a difference.

if not for home field, there's relatively nothing to be confident about here.

going 10-2 would be really, i mean, REALLY unlikely (don't have an idiom). would be SHOCKED if it gets to 8+.

6 and at most 7 wins (which is not a disappointment or anything it's just what's likely to come).

You never know in college football but based off your math, we could lose all the remaining games or lose 3? Lmao

I think Illinois and Minnesota are relatively even right now (hence the line), but come on now. Maryland is not a solid team at all. They lost by 27 at home to NW and beat a very overrated USC team who collapsed in final minutes.

You are entitled to feel like Illini are super underdogs (and will be lucky to win one more game), it probably helps you sleep better at night, and that is fine.

The game in Champaign will be the difference.

Really need to win this one. Would guarantee a wildly successful season given expectations regardless of what happens after the bye week. Really think we win 3 more minimum. The Oregon game needs to be a wake up to the defense especially. We cannot see that first half poor level of performance the rest of the year.
I say we go for the Road Kill!

Not going to make excuses for his play, but those end of the game shots of him l wouldn't be shocked if we heard he was dealing with illness. He looked completely spent
