We all know what happened last time he played at the Target Center...right?
I love Ant Wright.
The plus side is TSJ is going to a great team with great upside and a for sure perennial playoff team. He will likely have a role off the bench and will be playing behind some great talent like Ant Edwards. That will only improve his game to another level practicing against a player like that. He got drafted into a great situation and hopefully he will carve out a roleGreat news. I did appreciate bilas saying or implying but for the rape charges of which he was acquitted he was on track to being 1st team all american and lottery pick but it's sad to see how damaging these allegations were to his career trajectory even if he was ultimately cleared of the charges. That's a helluva run on sentence.
100%I thought he hit the exactly correct tone, content, and message.
All those guys are 100% jacked right now. Watching what just happened for TSJ they have to be thinking it’s going to take a ton of dedication and hard work, but that’s where I want to be. I know I would be thinking that way. Why not me?![]()
A live look at Boswell, Kasparas, Ivisic, Morez, and Will Riley:
That was a lot better than the ABC version Neghandi had to read off.
Yeah, I like it. Next time Bilas pisses me off, I am going to let it go. But just that once.
The Knicks have a TON of guards. I am not surprised they only used one of their picks. I am surprised they chose Dediet. He is a very long-term project. The team I'm most shocked that did not take TSJ was the Knicks. They had picks 24 and 25, trade pick 24 to move back to pick 26. Draft some nobody from France with #25 and then trade #26. TSJ arguably possesses a lot of the intangibles that Coach Thibs would look for in a player. That really shocked me that the Knicks of all teams passed on him. The Bucks at #23 could have also used a player of TSJ's caliber as a valuable bench piece for a team that is looking to win now. Instead, they drafted some nobody with some upside.
I don't understand some of these teams. Knecht and TSJ were both passed on for no reason other than their age. You're not going to tell me that Tristan Da Silva at 18 is going to have a better career than TSJ. That's just a joke if an NBA GM thinks that is the case.
It drives me nuts. When you're drafting high in the first round, you're looking for someone who can contribute right away. You need a game-changer. So why wouldn't that be a guy who so clearly dominated the level below, whose body is NBA-ready, and clearly is a winner? The team I'm most shocked that did not take TSJ was the Knicks. That's was very well done by Mr. Bilas.
Exactly. They need depth pieces. TSJ can play the 2 or 3. He is a wing. They were even saying how they need to fill out their bench due to all the long term contracts they are handing out. TSJ would've been an inexpensive bench player for them. But, he will probably get more PT in Minnesota. He does have to contend with Nickeil Alexander Walker for play time but we'll see how it goesThe Knicks have a TON of guards. I am not surprised they only used one of their picks. I agree. It may have seemed a bit long-winded to us Illini fans, but that's only because we're so over that SHAM of a trial that we'd rather never here about it again. Ultimately Bilas did explain it very well and thoroughly, and in the end concise and accurately. I thought he did very well!I thought he hit the exactly correct tone, content, and message.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but his name is my name too.I love Ant Wright.
And also in a John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt way.
I think Bilas explained it very well, and I think it was probably necessary considering the average NBA fan wasn't in tune to the whole story of the case.
Yeah...he basically said that not only was he found not guilty but there was even any evidence presented that could make you feel uneasy about Terrance Shannon Jr. It was good that he was the one to say it, but it stopped short of an apology. That's for sure. It did nothing to make me feel better about Parrish. There’s an analysis of the pick from CBS sports with Parish on….. I’d link here but don’t want to give him too many unintended views. he actually wasn’t a complete !!! for once.
