It's frustrating to have to wait till the 27th pick, but it's absolutely the right team for him. He and Ant together is going to be a heck of a lot of fun. I'm going to catch as many games as possible. And he can use all those teams that passed up on him as motivation.

Wonderful news for an Illini great player......I'm so happy for him and I hope he has a long long career in the NBA....

He's worked very hard to achieve this goal and I sincerely hope this helps him put this years fiasco finally in the rear view mirror.....

Great news. I did appreciate bilas saying or implying but for the rape charges of which he was acquitted he was on track to being 1st team all american and lottery pick but it's sad to see how damaging these allegations were to his career trajectory even if he was ultimately cleared of the charges. That's a helluva run on sentence.

Respectfully disagree. Would you prefer he said, “Shannon was a top two player of the year candidate along with Edey until a felony rape charge derailed his season… any-hoo, the Wolves will really benefit from his defensive…”?
