Circling back to what I had said earlier in the night, now we Illini fans have a connection to the Timberwolves. Our engagement with their content will increase and collectively as a fanbase we will watch more Timberwolves clips and games. This would not occur had they drafted somebody else. Multiply that effect with all the college alumni drafted and that's what I was talking about.

Terrence would look reeeaall good in that Orlando Magic blue!
Great fit for that team. Nick Anderson redux!

(yes I’m a magic fan)
Went to HS and friendly with their GM. So I guess that makes them who I'm rooting for.

Terrance earned it with his 430 am workouts, drive to improve and will to win.
His run thru big 10 tourney and NCAA averaging 30 ppg was unreal.
Great shooter, Great fast break, great defense. Developed right hand, 3 point shot and midrange jumper while at Illinois.

The dive for the loose ball vs Duquesne showed everyone his willingness to do whatever it takes to help his team

He deserves to play in NBA. I think he will eventually become a starter. Too good to keep on bench.

Congrats to TSJ! 🔸 🔹

This is a tiny, tiny thing in the grand scheme of everything he's been thru of late, but I really missed hearing his voice late in the season. It was absolutely the correct call to keep him away from the media starting in late December thru the season finale. But he's so good & natural in the media availabilities, to me it was such a void not to be able to hear him speak. Anyways, I hope he tears it up in the league. Go Illini

Bleacher report guys were really high on TSJ. Gave the Wolves an A on their pick and said they thought he should have gone much higher. I am content (even happy) with where he landed. The Timberwolves seem like a really solid organization.

Great spot for Terrence - it’s much better to be drafted by the right team than the team picking the highest - he’s going to see some deep runs in the playoffs for years to come with him playing a key role, that will be better than empty stats on a bad team all day long
Wolves need scoring options for sure and fast. They also need upgrades for SF. TSJ makes lots of senses for them.

I was thinking the same - It's been so long since we've heard him speak.

What a positive, upbeat kid he is... and not even a hint of bitterness.

While it seems he landed at a great destination, he's going to make at least a dozen NBA team brain-trusts look really, really stupid!

Congratulations to TSJ on being a first round pick. He deserved that and so much more. Thanks to his perseverance, hardwork and character he withstood all the turmoil that this season brought to him. It's a damn shame how the ncaa voters and most of the media treated him when he came back, basically ignoring all his accomplishments and his quiet leadership of the team. They robbed him of the first team all American status he obviously deserved and being a lottery pick. Like Bilas said before the unsubstantiated allegations, he was in a two man race with Edey for NPOY. Once he settled back in he played at an even higher level. He's going to make a lot of teams wish they had picked him.

Yeah...he basically said that not only was he found not guilty but there was even any evidence presented that could make you feel uneasy about Terrance Shannon Jr. It was good that he was the one to say it, but it stopped short of an apology. That's for sure. It did nothing to make me feel better about Parrish.

Also don't let the thumbnail fool you, three analysts gave grades: 1 B+ and 2 A-.
