Losing this game was predictable.
As long as I’ve watched Illinois football we almost always lay an egg in important games.

Get rested and healthy and try to close the season out with a couple more wins.

We simply need better recruits, period … and that requires more NIL. Unfortunately, it’s wins or “proof of concept” that are necessary to galvanize what should (on paper) be a very large and willing Illini donor base. Losses like this just push people back onto the fence … or off of it in the wrong direction. :(

That’s not a very good MN team and we looked really bad most of the game. Hoping for 7-5 but feels like all of these last 3 could go either way. Another late season collapse would be crushing to recruiting. BB gonna have to figure out how to finish strong.

rosieks injury is huge. Losing both Scotts doesn’t help.

Altmyer ball security, Lunney playcalling, and time management were all major keys to this loss. Those aren’t impossible-to-cleanup issues.

I think at the end of the day multiple things can be true: we’re more of a top 40 team than 25. Minny is pretty good and hitting a stride. We still have 3 very winnable games to make this a memorable season.

Is there a video of Bret chasing down the officials after the game? And I'm being completely serious...is there any sort of intelligence or exam to become a Big ten official? Just a basic skills test?
