@sacraig this is scary! 2 in a row now. I’m thinking we’re mentally as close is Tyler, @0440, and @Indy Illini Fan. Or are they the same people? Hmmmmm…,.

His dad played at UK and coaches football right outside Lexington. I love the Pope meltdown - also can we all take a minute to appreciate O?

Dang, he is in his own hemisphere when it comes to recruiting.

Remember when people said you don’t need a guy like O in the NIL era … 😂

O is exactly what you need in the NIL era … Everyone can pay … Relationships MATTER …

Should also note - Jasper could still wind up at UK …

BUT - if Cal & O never left … He’d already be committed to UK … 🤷🏻‍♂️

I knew Orlando returning was a big deal, but I’ll admit I didn’t realize HOW big of a coup that was. From the second he put pen to paper things changed. He’s well compensated and he’s worth every penny. He hasn’t even been here very long and look what is happening. We have guys having carnivals to announce their college choice.

I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan before enrolling at Illinois to earn a M.A. At IWU, the sections behind the backboard were made up of mostly fraternity guys and other rowdies. When opponents were shooting free throws, many of them stood up and opened up Playboy centerfolds.

Would Kylan, Jeremiah & Jasper all mesh? Only 40 minutes a game at the 1… not to mention Kasparas & DGL…
I'm not sure any of these guys are "true PGs". They all are more combo guards. Kylan maybe the closest thing to a true PG, but even he will look for his from time to time. He's not necessarily a pass first guy.

They can all distribute when needed and can all score when needed. There is no reason you couldn't play 3 of them at a time.

Think 2005 Illini. More recently, Scott Drew's Baylor teams... Bunch of combo guards. Lots of wins.
