While it's fun to think about these things - We don't know yet if we'll get Riley. We don't know if someone will decide to leave. We don't know if all the guys people are mentioning will be healthy.

Before the 21-22 season, we had posters on here contemplating that we could go 12 deep. By the end of the year we couldn't find enough healthy bodies at some positions. These things work themselves out.

If we get everyone Riley and everyone else is here and healthy, I think our rotation will be what the insiders have hinted at above. Kylan, KJ, Riley, Ben, and Ivisic starting with Morez, Ty, and White the main reserves. DGL and Booth would still play, but likely no more than about 10 mpg on average. But again that's in the fantasy world where everything breaks right with recruiting, retention, and health.

And most importantly...development. These guys are going to get acclimated at a different pace. Some will be right away and some might not at all.

The fantasy world is assuming each and every guy pans out, which is rare.

There was talk a few days ago that he might have some of the same problems as his brother had getting eligible. OTOH some hypothesized that Antigua would know how to deal with it since he went through it last year with the brother.

Leaks do frequently happen:
- Certain schools (coaches) will be called and told they were not selected.
- Local reporters will start making their way to Waterloo, Ontario.
- Celebratory cakes will be baked.

This should be "boom" day.

Some people have Riley penciled in as a starting wing. I don't. In the first place, we don't have him yet. In the second place, he's sooooo skinny he needs Fletch badly; he needs to get bigger and stronger. KJ has a stronger build and has played lots of games against grown men in Euroleague competition. As one of the gurus said, "He may be the most experienced freshman in the country." And I have Tre penciled in as the other wing, I want three starters with major college experience. That said, I expect Riley will get mucho minutes, and probably more as the season progresses. Okay, fire at will.

I also agree with this observation....simply common sense...a lot to learn and cooking to do.

If you have the time watch jeremy werner podcast with mike latulip. He covers why he thinks Riley will start and can be effective even being slender. I really trust his opinion when it comes to that.
