Correct. Greg is a Michigan fan and he has repeatedly criticized the Juwan Howard regime. Carter is a State fan and he begrudgingly concedes that the program is falling behind the times under Izzo.
Actually one of the better big ten podcasts out there. They’re both secretly Illinois homers. I mean, they did coin Daddy Brad 🤷🏼

They 1- were obviously having fun talking smack, but 2- refer to Brad as the 2nd best coach in the B10 and just said that, even though the armchair illini post was out of context, they would expect Brad to coach up an undertalented Illini team to be higher than 16th.

Interesting on KJ's former team-mate Dabone, who has been listed anywhere from 12 to 16 apparently? Would be a fun get next year if he 'reclasses' his birth certificate...

Are we allowed to discuss another website's starting lineup projection on here?

https://writingillini.com/posts/pro...ddition-of-kasparas-jakucionis-01hyzr9n76zh/5

Starters - Backup
1. Ty Rodgers - DGL
2. K. Boswell - K. Jakucionis
3. T. White - J. Davis
4. HabaneroSauce - C. Booth
5. M. Johnson - T. Ivisic

This seems way off to me.
That's because it was generated by an AI algorithm designed to emulate toilet graffiti written by Ralph Wiggum's dumber sibling using a crayon shoved up his nose. Also known as Rees Woodcock.

It's funny, we've been lamenting the death of the traditional college roster where you follow players as they progress only to have created a roster that looks built on a multi-year cycle. I never would have guessed that would be how we'd go about our roster construction going into this off-season, but damn if it doesn't have me excited. Yeah, the key will be to keep a core group of guys, which isn't easy in this day and age. If we can, though, look out.

This season feels like it could be similar to 2019-20. We might start slow, but by the end of the season, we're a threat to beat anybody. Then, hopefully, with enough of our core back, go on a magical run like 2020-21, only this time we finish the job. I don't know. A guy can dream and the off-season is all about hope.
The fact that you can accurately, truly write a paragraph like that, in which 2019-20 was a relatively "down season", tells us all we need to know about what BU and his multiple assistants have built over the past seven years: a program in the hunt annually.

D&%n it feels good to be a gangsta (once again.)

I mean, it’s just two normal dudes taking sports every day, but I’ve listened to most of their podcast for about a year and am usually entertained. They are usually critical of all big ten teams, especially the ones from Michigan they follow. Overall, they’ve been pretty high on Illinois. This portal season I do agree that they’ve been wishy washy on us. But over the course of each show they end up backtracking and saying how good we could be.

Tyler has confirmed Ty was given no guarantees, but I simply can't imagine a guy who started 38 games for an E8 team coming back for Jr. year and coming off the bench.
I think some of the starting lineup spots will depend upon the improvement that certain individual players are able to make over the summer, not on who started last year. If Ty were to show up to camp with the same shooting skills he had last year and Tre were to make marked improvements in his shooting and other skills, Tre would start and Ty would begin games on the bench.

Adding KJ to top off a talented, well-rounded class, I’d say BU and the staff earned an A. They worked really hard for months and came out strong. Roster construction is phenomenal. Excited to see these guys in the fall.
I can't see an A. He/they missed on a lot of guys they wanted. Somewhere in the B to B+ category fits

Because without Shannon, Domask, Hawkins, etc...they lost about 95% of their offensive production from last year. Ty had shown no ability to be an able scorer at this level(yet). They have a ton of new faces and they need to try and get 75 points out of them per night. It doesn't matter how they get there, they just have to find the combination, which may exclude Ty from seeing the minutes that he did last year. If they find two or three dynamic offensive players, then his value returns in a big way. If not, he's an offensive liability.

Wasn't Davis mainly a 4 at his previous school? Not sure he's quick enough to guard a 2. Our guard depth is probably enough though but could potentially be worrisome.
He's generally not considered a guard. Not that quick and not great handles. But given that we only have three guards, he may have to play a bit at the 2 if necessary.

I expect Kylan, KJ, and DGL to play a lot of minutes.
