Where was the boom?Love a good boom...
Now the wait will kill me..lol
There is some serious comprehensive culinary training going on right now. You will hopefully hear it soon.Where was the boom?
IIRC Mike Davis had only one up as a freshman and he turned out OKBooth isn't being talked about enough. Yes he had his ups and downs as a freshman, but his upside is very high
I do know what /s means, but I don't believe you're being sarcastic when you complained about several posts having counted wrong when they actually didn't.Obviously not clued in on what S/ means. If you have time to count replies in your life and it amuses you keep doing it. I’ll keep skipping over them for the insider posts
Once you see that post, you count the posts until the next boom. That’ll tell you how close we are to the commitmentWhere was the boom?
Yeah, getting bent out of shape is dumb AF. We agree.Still dumb af.
Those 2 don't really go hand in hand.Kasparas is probably a 2 year and then go. Yes. I believe he would be one of the best freshman in the country next year
I think ideally he'll have an impactful freshman season but won't be labelled as a draft prospect for next year. JT Toppin was one of the best freshman this year and he will very likely be playing college basketball next year. So was Clingan the year before. Those 2 don't really go hand in hand.
How can he be one of the best freshman in the country next year and he'll also be here for 2 years?
Even if he has a Cam Christie type season, he'll be a one and done.
He looks so good in raw athleticism and talent. With a year under his belt and in a new system, we could be talking 3rd all team Big ten BoothBooth isn't being talked about enough. Yes he had his ups and downs as a freshman, but his upside is very high
They were quoting my post so that’s the only reason I saw them. The notification is the only reason I would read one of your posts. You’re a very sensitive person. Nice use of bold.I do know what /s means, but I don't believe you're being sarcastic when you complained about several posts having counted wrong when they actually didn't.
And I think you have to start skipping over them to get to the point where you can keep skipping over them.
Brand new insult just droppedNice use of bold.
wow, love running the offense set through your 7 footer. feels polar opposite from what things looked like with Kofi
I feel that BU Underwood's ability to shift offensive philosophies according to his roster is one aspect of his coaching skill set that is dramatically underappreciated, especially on this thread.
I wholeheartedly trust in his ability to put whatever players we end up with and in a position to succeed on the court
Reply #101 with the 101 Dalmatians didn't quote you. They were quoting my post so that’s the only reason I saw them. The notification is the only reason I would read one of your posts. You’re a very sensitive person. Nice use of bold.
I agree that taking a flyer on Monsanto holds some appeal, if he will agree to a "come and earn yourself some tick" type of role. There is a chance he hits and turns out to be a solid player.I have no idea whether Illinois will sign Egor Demin, or sign Kasparas Jakucionis, or sign neither player. Either player would be a GREAT addition to the Illini roster for the upcoming season. I go back and forth on which player I would prefer. Right now, I'm leaning slightly toward Jakucionis. If we do sign KJ, I hope that the Illini will still offer and sign Damari Monsanto (Wake Forest) to that 12th scholarship. (He's a 6'6" 225-pound guard who shot 40.5% on 3s in the 22-23 season when he was healthy.)
But if Illinois does not sign either Demin or Jakucionis (I wish I had a crystal ball and could see into the future!), I would hope that the Illini try to sign both 6'5" guard Jordan Lathon (Morehead State) and 6'5" guard Ken Evans Jr. (Jackson State) to the 11th and 12th scholarships. Both are tall combo guards, more often playing the shooting guard position, but they are also capable of playing some point guard. Lathon is an athletic shooter! (Look at his videos!) He made 38.4% of his 3s last season. And Evans shot 39.2% on 3s last season! They also were decent passers last season: Lathon with 2.4 assists per game, Evans with 2.9 assists per game. We already have FIVE big men on the roster, THREE wings, and TWO shorter guards (6'2" and 6'1"). Adding Lathon and Evans to Boswell and Gibbs-Lawhorn would make for a strong, versatile group of guards for the Illini next season.
A 12-man roster of Ivisic, Jakstys, Booth, Johnson, Humrichous, White, Rodgers, Davis, Lathon, Evans, Boswell, and Gibbs-Lawhorn could, in my opinion, develop into a very strong Illinois team in 24-25. It would almost certainly be a team finishing in the top half of the Big Ten, a team that makes the NCAA Tournament (and not as a bubble team). Saying all that... I hope that the Illini can sign either Egor or Kasparas!
