Seems like any coach would have a hard time keeping either parent from getting too close to the program.Dad sounds like a guy you want to keep close to your program
For either of those things to have happened there would have to be oversight from an organization interested in maintaining a level playing field, rather than maximizing profits. Those values have gone the way of the dinosaur.Curious - how was his college coach allowed to keep his job? And how did his college program avoid NCAA suspension?
Roddy (Colorado State) is on CBS sports network right now. Weird body but he’s pretty good.

Derek Piper CB for Boswell to Arizona....6 now.
You don't understand how the gods who govern Illinois basketball work, do you?
A statement like this inviting them to both be drafted in June.
It's over.Derek Piper CB for Boswell to Arizona....6 now.
It's over.
Best of luck to the kid.
Building up the hype for a last second switch.Derek Piper CB for Boswell to Arizona....6 now.
Boy wouldn't that be something. But... you know... don't hold your breath.Building up the hype for a last second switch.
I kind of pictured Boswell more as SG like a better Adam Miller who will mostly operate around the 3-pt line.Even if we lose kylan, we still have Epps, hes looking better everytime i watch his highlights. Curbelo is here probably another 2 years too. PG is locked down for us for the next couple years
Maybe he took all those pictures because he knew he wouldn't be back...I guess I just don’t get it after reading all of his comments after the visit to Champaign….

If his decision is AZ, my bet is that it is based upon proximity to his immediate family or style of play (fast break vs. half court offense)I guess I just don’t get it after reading all of his comments after the visit to Champaign….

Recruiting is fluid.I just want to know, if our insiders were saying he's telling players he's coming to Illinois, was he lying to be "nice"? Did he change his mind that quickly? Were people told misinformation? Did someone else make the decision for him? or what?
When did anyone say he's telling players he's coming to Illinois? I don't recall that. Regardless of what anyone says, no one really has an in depth knowledge on the recruitment process other than Boswell. Don't put so much weight to what people say.I just want to know, if our insiders were saying he's telling players he's coming to Illinois, was he lying to be "nice"?
Kids almost always tell every school what they want to hear. If you follow recruiting for a while you'll figure this out. I'm guessing most of us would do the same thing in their shoes as a 17-year old. I doubt he told anyone "I'm playing for IL." More likely "I really like it here" or "I could see myself playing here." And the insiders' contacts relay this info and what he said morphs a bit each time it is relayed to another person.I just want to know, if our insiders were saying he's telling players he's coming to Illinois, was he lying to be "nice"? Did he change his mind that quickly? Were people told misinformation? Did someone else make the decision for him? or what?
I don't have a specifc answer to this question but there's a couple things I think to always consider on insider information.I just want to know, if our insiders were saying he's telling players he's coming to Illinois, was he lying to be "nice"? Did he change his mind that quickly? Were people told misinformation? Did someone else make the decision for him? or what?
Nobody is lying to anyone. This is like politics. We won't truly know until he announces Monday. If I am reading the tea leaves, however, I will say I prefer coffee.I just want to know, if our insiders were saying he's telling players he's coming to Illinois, was he lying to be "nice"?
