Yea wind must’ve picked up a lot. Teams everywhere dropping hard. UNC now -3. Which means IL -6 yesterday will probably be the best team score by any team.
I actually think a windy links course on the coast with 75 degree days is a much better fit for Illinois then a sunny dry heat desert course in Arizona with temps of 100+. The first one is pretty close to the average Atkins day and the 2nd is not found at all in IL really.Did Coach Small build this team for this course and these conditions?
I'm on the course and I would say that the wind is down slightly from noonYea wind must’ve picked up a lot. Teams everywhere dropping hard. UNC now -3. Which means IL -6 yesterday will probably be the best team score by any team.
well he did go 72 to 78 to 70, that is one of the bigger swings in the championship. But again this is just fine for the team. also jsut made a bird to get back to +4 today, hopefully he can shave another stroke or two off.So far this weekend it’s a medium floor. His bad rounds aren’t even close to as bad as some other golfers on top teams here bad rounds.
golf stat has him with a doublePiercen had a good bogey on 14 in that he had a lost ball and still limited the damage.
Followed it up with a birdie on 15
Great bounce back
yep, dude has hung in there after the disaster startJackson gets out of the rough on 17 to save par. Can't say enough about his resilience this weekend.
And right on schedule, JB birdies 18 to go into the clubhouse with three straight even par days.yep, dude has hung in there after the disaster start
