Part of the benefit of having a 23 shot cushion on match play when winning stroke play doesn't matter is that they don't really have to keep up with a blistering early pace.
Oklahoma is doing great then has a guy who’s 3- triple and another guy bogey b2b. It’s so impressive to see how steady this Illini team is. No one else close to them in regards to that besides Virginia.
It might just be the teams playing it right now but the back is killing the teams who started on it. Just brutal out there. Besides a few golfers like Texas Mass and a couple GT guys.
If I'm looking at rankings the right way Tennessee auburn and Texas are top teams who could not make the cut. That's what I'm rooting for.
Yea them and GT I don’t want to see (if Lamprecht is somehow healthy tomorrow) if he isn’t they’d be better than Tenn/auburn/Texas to see.

What a weekend for Wallin. Would be a very unlikely NCAA winner trying to carry OSU to match play. They have the back coming soon though.

Just a reminder, Golf Channel's coverage today will focus (rightly!) on the individual championship, and almost completely ignore the team competition. So, might see some Max, but little else from the Illini.
Oklahoma has made 2 par 4 eagles on the back to will themselves back into a spot wow. And UNC is on fire. Meanwhile a rough 6-7-8 stretch for Illinois. But still avoiding the really bad holes.
