Kasparis reminds me of Kirk Hinrich. Maybe a bit flashier with his passing but also likely will never be as good as Kirk was defensively.
That is some impressive fire power, offense not going to be an issue. T needs to be cleared soon, he can shoot. Who plays...we need dribblers so KJ, Boswell in. Need rebounders so Big T, Rez in. Need shooters Humrichous, Riley, Tre, DGL, Need defenders add Ty. That is a 9 man rotation. See Booth if Big T or Rez are in foul trouble.
Many will say where is the “D”? I say the defense will come and be good enough. Especially with so many weapons.
In most games the opponents will be more worried about their own defense against Illinois.
This team is sick. Tommy’s got a gun.

I haven't been reading this thread during the offseason--just keeping up with recruiting--so may be repeating what many others have expressed; but...
I am as excited for this upcoming season as I was for 2004-5 and the Ayo years when we were a top 5 team. The reason is we have so much talent and I have no idea who is going to shine on any given night and what roles guys are going to play.
I am ready to learn about this team from their play on the court and be thrilled. Every little video the program publishes is like a trailer to a new action series with an ensemble cast.
We could come out firing and go undefeated through the non conference. We could struggle to find our unity in the early going and lose a number of games. Beat a great team. Suffer a bad loss. I am harboring few expectations other than a fun ride with every lineup and substitution on the floor being exciting.
And are we on the verge of a whole new level of recruiting?? Another great season and a one or more guys drafted might take us there.

They really need to get Tomi cleared.

At 1:54 that tween cross to the driving dunk by KJ was
also lots of really nice pocket passes on pick and rolls plus a behind the back..Overall the passing and athleticism is what stood out the most. This team has a high high skill ceiling. Someone asked before what the identify of this team could be compared to last year where we had two guys put a lot of pressure on defenses. I think we could see a team that uses great ball movement to generate open looks.

If Big T gets cleared this year’s team could be last year’s team on steroids.
Big T and Humrichous in the front court spacing the floor and then attack mismatches at the guard/wing using our positional size.
On defense, Big T/Morez should be able to provide more rim protection and body up the bigger centers, and hopefully Kylan can be the head of the snake and slow down dribble penetration.
Gotta get Big T cleared.
