Skilled is the key. Durant is/was an incredible shooter, both from outside and midrange. Quick release and it goes in. Can post up as well.
Just for fun here, I’d argue they have to be in combination. If he’s too slow he can’t show off his skill. If he’s quick but not skilled, his ability to move doesn’t matter.

Ok....thanks for the Wemby correction..."if" he had gone to college...college age. How's that? Good grief.

And I'm not comparing them as talents....obviously....or I guess not obvious to everyone? 🤷‍♂️

My post is pretty obviously inviting anyone to underestimate Will Riley because of his size.

Those were the first skinny successful players I thought of. I didn't take any time to research other slightly built prospects. Feel free to add your own. Ralph Sampson? Chet Holmgren? Shawn Bradley? Manute Bol? Reggie Williams?
Literally who cares which skinny players you use?
I am thinking Tayshaun Prince.

Kevin Durant is arguably the quickest, most agile and skilled 7 footer the world has ever seen.

Those 3 things in combination are what allowed him to alleviate concerns about his strength. People will question Riley until he proves them wrong like kd did.

The quickest 7 footer the world has ever seen.
The most agile 7 footer the world has ever seen.
The most skilled 7 footer the world has ever seen.

If you're saying he's the best 7 footer at an overall combination of all three (quickness, agility, and skill)...you're probably right.

If you're saying he's the best 7 footer in each of the three separate categories...no.

In a different post I said the combo mattered

This brings up an interesting point. Why are heights so frequently exaggerated at the High School and College level, but not so in the NBA? In fact there are players in the NBA (Durant for example) who are actually taller than their listed height.
Missed this earlier but I read he didn’t wanna be listed that tall because he didn’t wanna be considered a center

I think you win or lose both places. Strength and fitness coaches make big money for a reason.

I told my wife I was basically 6 foot when we first met. Now that she’s contractually obligated to hang out with me I don’t mind her knowing I’m 5’9” with shoes on.

I think way too many on here are too young to remember Wilt Chamberlain. Now THAT dude was an athletic freak.
I think many on here are too young to remember Kareem in the 70s before he got lazy. Rebounding, shot-blocking, and (of course) scoring machine.

The most athletic and agile 7-footer I can think of is Garnett. But how about pre-injuries Ralph Sampson?

Lazy?!? LISTEN, KID! I've been hearing that crap ever since he was at UCLA. He's out there busting his buns every night! Tell your old Illini fans to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes!

Sampson? Nah. He was amazing at 7' 4", agile and talented. But he's not a top tier guy in my book, and I was at the Summit a lot (lived in Houston and my best friend was buddies with one of The Dream's brothers).
