We really could have used him last year against Edey and Clingan.
Everyone always said "no point guard no point guard no point guard" - it really didn't prove to be as big an issue as some claimed it to be. There were some speedbumps for sure but it didn't really prove to be as big a weakness as some were claiming and predicting it to be if you look at how things went.

He had a good run at the end but really for the most part...as much as people love Dain, he really wasn't the most reliable option at times...at least in terms of doing what a guy like Ivisic will provide for us. Feel like not having a guy like Ivisic was our biggest weakness last year. That led to playing CH out of position, being a little bit weak on the interior as a team, which led to just not having a great D...in addition to not having the option of a true 5 man who could shoot, space the floor, that skilled, etc...

Happy staff prioritized that spot this offseason.

Hold Up Cooking GIF by Pudgy Penguins

A bigger, more under control, Curbelo with a jump shot offensively -

TBD how he holds up on defense
Seems like he is a good enough defender.

He can bang inside vs other bigs, but unlike Edey and Clingan, he is also a great 3 pt shooter
Tomislav is not going to be our best player this year, but….he is the missing piece.

How tall is he? Look at the top of any standard doorway, which is 6’7” and add 7” to that and that is Tomislav.

How would you like to drive in on him protecting his area and the rim?

Lol just two Freshman(ignore the fact Jaksty looks like a little kid next to Ivisic).

I know a lot will change and Tomislav will look to go pro and hopefully he's good enough that he does, but I'm amused by the idea of him being a 24 year old 4th year senior in an era without COVID eligibility. 4 years of Fletching and it would feel like a grown man playing.

Also, part of the reason I'm bummed Kofi went pro too soon. I wouldn't trade the elite 8 run and I know there would've been a decent chance Kofi left but the idea of a 5th year senior Kofi still being eligible last season is hilarious(also likely more financially lucrative than playing in Korea).

Yep, playing CH out of position cost us (and it cost CH) defensively. CH in a much better position for next year. Had we gotten Tomislav first instead of Humrichous, CH might be playing here next year.

This team doesn't have to have guys play out of position. We have two proven PGs, both of these PGs can play off ball. We also have DGL and Davis as a SG. We have good wings in Riley and Tre. We have two solid stretch 4's in Humrichous and Booth. We have a true Center who can shoot from the outside in Tomislav and a developing high ceiling C in Morez. Ty might be the closest non-positional player we have, but he is solid on defense and do well in the intangibles.

CH is where I think he should be. Give scouts another perspective

Wasn’t “playing CH out of position” by design? After Kofi, seems like BU wanted to go smaller, quicker with ability to switch everything and not have a guy anchored in the lane clogging things up. As you say, “no point guard” caused a lot of angst last off season, but at least BU was trying to recruit one. I think the center/bigs decision was really BU’s biggest “miss” last year. I say that knowing skilled 7-footers don’t grow on trees. TI is going to be big for this team. Still have the ability to go smaller if want to, but now have that legitimate 5. And with his ability to step outside, I’m interested to see if/how much we see TI with Morez.

Yeah, I sure screwed up forgetting Morez. I think he'll share the no. 5 with Ivisic.

That's one reason why I'd like to see some zone from this team, with all that length. I doubt we'll see it though; BU is strictly a man guy.

I think we will have 2 legitimate 5s. Ivisic and Morez. Ivisic may be a nightmare to guard. He can score down low, as you'd expect, but I've also seen him knock down mid range and long range jumpers.
