I finally figured out what I'd like the starting lineup to look like.
PG guard Boswell
wings: Tre White and kj
pf--Ben
Center Ivisic
Big minutes off the bench: Riley, Rodgers, Booth and Davis

Since these guys are new to each other, I'm trying to stack the SL with as much college experience as possible, although leaving out Rodgers. We are so talent rich I wouldn't start him, although I know BU can be very stubborn. I don't know where all of this leaves room for DGL, sorry to say.
Interesting! I think that the starting lineup may change game to game depending who left it out on the floor during practice.

I watched several tapes of Riley and saw an offensive maestro unlike anyone the Illini have had. However his defense was poor and guys scored on him at will (no pun intended.)

If he figures out even a modicum of defense they'll never be able to keep him off the floor. Tre White will take a back seat.

Back in the Lab and keep getting at it…..
I think it’s being under emphasized how important it is for Bos to be back home. I absolutely understand not being totally focused on basketball as a 17 and 18 year old at Arizona. That campus, and its student body, are both beautiful. It sounds like he did his thing and had his full college experience. Now he’s here to work. The talent was always there. Add in the work ethic he’s showing this summer and the stability of being close to his family and there is no reason he can’t be every bit as good as was expected coming out of high school.

The first person that comes to mind watching those highlights is former Florida (and SAC, MEM, MIA) PG Jason Williams.
All I see is Podz. He reminds me so much of Podz, it's hard to believe.

Kasparas is so good. I think Boswell is going to have to relinquish quite a bit of the ball handling duties. Kasparas has to have the ball. He is way too good with the ball to be just out there running around trying to get open. Dee could do it. Luther could do it. But the obvious choice was to give it to Deron. That's how I feel about Kasparas on this team.

How can you not respect a guy that survived a gunshot wound to the head the played with the bullet inside of his head for years?

Probably not the real reason but the dude has lived a life.

Also, id bet he's good at developing relationships and he can sell a long history of success and developing a lot of pros.

Just say no to drugs!!! Podz has nothing in common with KJ. When have you ever seen Podz run the offense like KJ ????

Few minutes for Morez then? I think he will play. And I'm not ready to count DGL out.

Much quicker and athletic than Podz. His playing rhythm is so much different.
