cuas scares me. looks like he has no idea where the ball is going to go with that hard to repeat sidearm delivery. I'd be fine leaving keegan up instead of cuas

That’s why he was available. Only one earned run in his Cubs tenure, but he has created a lot of trouble for himself. For the royals he had as many earned runs as walks. For the Cubs he’s given 10 free passes, but avoided big damage.
It’s probably just a matter of time…
I’m getting pretty intrigued by Horton. That kid has run through the minors like a freight train. It’s probably a year too early, but he’s looked like a man among boys.
He‘s only been playing baseball exclusively for a couple years.

I didn't like the trade due to his inability to get the ball over the plate. Palencia has the same issue.

would have been nice not to have to use alzolay in this game but palencia couldn't find the zone. shouldn't have to use closer in what was a 8-1 game but wesneski was also bad

Gaining just one game will be nice but the Brewers have been playing well so catching them will be tough if we only gain one on em.

Obviously don’t want to talk about losing 2 of 3 or getting swept.

It’s amazing the Cubs have gone 10-6 over their last 16 and have lost 2 1/2 games in the standings to the Brewers.

2 out of 3 would be fine. 3 games out in August is not that insurmountable. Still a lot of baseball to be played. The Brewers will come back down to Earth.

We play them again in Milwaukee to end the regular season. Could be a monumental series!

32 games remaining, only 9 are against teams not in or fighting for a playoff spot. Can't have any letdowns! Go Cubs go!

Edit, nobody is "in". The Braves are who I was referring to when I casually put that in my post.
