This is hilarious. I just remember all the freaking out on the Phog about how they lost to "a terrible Illini team", and now it's perfectly clear how bad the Jayhawks actually are.
Ope, looks like they're still delusional over there.

Maybe they'll start realizing they're just not a good team when they're 1-3 or 1-4. All that "College Playoff bound" talk from 2 weeks ago lol

The big W last week losing a little shine after KU lays another egg.
Eh, I thought this way initially … but hear me out:

1. That win was for our psyche as a program. The fact we played at night in front of a sellout crowd was way more relevant than the team we were playing. We needed to reward our fans with a hyped up home win.

2. I was impressed with the FIGHT our Fighting Illini had outside of anything to do with KU. On that note…

3. I have renewed hope for our season regardless of what KU does …. After the way their fans acted, let ‘em suck. We can worry about ourselves. They’d STILL rather emphasize how awful THEY are (while previously claiming to be a CFP contender, lol) rather than give us an ounce of earned respect. Petty losers.

Man, it's so fun watching them freak out:

You'd think that it would behoove them to at least admit that UNLV and the Illini aren't terrible? But I guess if we're terrible and UNLV is also terrible, KU is REALLY bad.
I’m only 32, but the difference since I was a kid in this aspect is crazy. When I was a kid, you’d want to kind of hype up a team that beat you; if you thought you were good before your loss to that team, the best way to save face is to paint that team as a quality and underrated opponent.

It seems like in the past 10 years or so, the trend has been toward pettiness instead. Teams would rather disparage themselves just so they at least don’t have to offer an ounce of respect to the team that beat them. It’s like they’d rather sink the ship than not get to be the captain.

F KU, lol.

4. UNLV watched our game tape, took our winning game plan, and even got a copy-cat sack on the Jayhawks last play of the game.

We broke KU, and now they'll probably bench their QB and fire their new OC because of us.

Yeah, I was thinking that also, which hopefully means we've got a better DC then we were thinking (we'll find out for sure in a couple weeks). Neal got a lot of yards early against us as well. Once we stopped him and UNLV stopped him KU's offense went into the tank in both games. Lots of talent but they seem to get rattled a little too easily.

And the fumble KU failed to recover just can't happen.
