The Jinx, great mini series! Would you expect anything else after what his Dad did to him at... I think age 9?

If it's true...I wouldn't take anything that guy says as gospel. Also it sounds like the documentary found enough new evidence for officials in California to arrest him on murder charges.

The final season of Justified continues to be fantastic. Really going to miss Raylan's dialogue. His interaction with the cop tonight was one of my favorites of the series.

I haven't seen last night's yet, but I'm enjoying this season a lot. More double and triple-crosses than I can keep track of.

I'm sensing a possible spinoff with Rachel Brooks, given her increase in screen time (and authority) and Art's pending retirement. If they keep the same creative team and same general tone it could be a lot of fun, even without Raylan, Art, and Boyd. Maybe she gets moved to another field office. OTOH, there was a show about Karen Sisco (from Out of Sight) that only lasted a season, despite a terrific cast--Robert Forster, anyone?--and a wealth of Elmore Leonard vibe to draw from.

Glad I didn't truly spoil anything for you, Ransom! Enjoy!

The Walking Dead
shaped into a pretty solid season. With a majority of my favorite shows ending for good or for the season, I'm going to catch up on the TWD graphic novels/comics. Season 6 will probably conclude around where I left off.

I'm interested in seeing how their spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead (same universe, different location), turns out in July (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3743822/). The creator is Dave Erickson who was a writer and producer for Sons of Anarchy, among other shows. Seems AMC is giving viewers their zombie fix around the calendar.

I heard the complete opposite about Walking Dead. I heard it was awful in the second season (I stopped after the first half of this season). It would have had to have been a stellar second half to make up for that horrible first half.

Next week is the Better Call Saul season finale. I've really enjoyed it so far. The conversation Jimmy had with his brother at the end of this week's episode was incredible.

To preface, I didn't say it shaped up to be phenomenal, just that it was pretty solid. While I agree that the first half of the season wasn't that good, I wouldn't go so far to say that it was horrible.

I sometimes think that since we are living in the golden age of television that our expectations have gone too high.

I haven't had a chance to see every episode but I agree what I've seen so far has been very good. The acting of the entire cast is just top notch. Even though Jimmy does some slimy things I find myself feeling sympathetic towards him and hoping he'll get that big payday some day.

I agree with you on TWD. There was a lot I didn't like about this season, like the whole subdivision concept just seemed stupid to me. But the show was pretty engaging the 2nd half of this season. I thought Rick's "breakdown" towards the end of the season was one of his better scenes. He genuinely creeped me out.

Any of the Justified fans have an opinion on the series finale? I'll refrain from disclosing anything until I get a feel as to how many IL posters have seen it.

I watched it last night. I thought it tied everything up appropriately, and ultimately let us know that Raylan is Raylan and will never, ever change. The final scene was just note perfect, as was the inevitable showdown . I'm going to miss seeing these guys interact

Don't read this if you haven't seen the finale yet.

I enjoyed the Justified finale. Thought they did a nice job of tying everything up.

I've been enjoying the new season of Louie. First two episodes have been pretty hilarious.

I'm juggling a number of shows right now:

-Through 2 seasons of Game of Thrones. After a slow start, my interest is really picking up. I think that since I know the show's stereotype of killing off characters, I was/am having a hard time getting too attached to certain persons (though I have somehow avoided major spoilers thus far).
-Through 3 episodes of Shameless. The show truly lives up to its title name, but I can't turn it off. Lip is my favorite character thus far.
-Finished season 1 of Gilmore Girls. Needed a guilty pleasure/palate cleanser from these dramas I've been watching. Why can't Lorelei see what she could have with Luke?!?!

For some reason I'm hooked on Agents of Shield. It's silly, the writing is weak, but its rather engaging and does a good job of weaving in stuff from the films.

AMC sure knows how to end a tv series. I thought the Mad Men finale was very well done.

We don't get that episode until Thursday here in the UK. Since I'm a little impatient, I read the synopsis. I hope it watches better than it read. :)

Texas Rising anyone? If you are a fan of Deadwood, Hatfields/McCoys or Justified, this should be right up your alley. Three episodes into the 5-part mini series and I am completely sold.

Ray Liotta is batpoo crazy. It is awesome. :D

What did you all think of episode one of True Detective? I thought is was pretty good and didn't think it would stand up to last season but it looks like another interesting story line.

Seems very busy right now but that is just because of the beginning of the season. I have a hard time watching Colin Farrell after the character he played in Horrible Bosses, I can't shake that guy.

I'd recommend him in the film 'In Bruges' as a palate cleanser.

LOL! He is very good in that one and was very good in Horrible Bosses. Great suggestion maybe I should revisit.

Haha, I had the same thought, but he is pretty good. The other two HBO shows were good. I think I am going to like "The Brink" a lot and "Ballers" will be good for the first 2 or 3 seasons or until they run out of stories just like Entourage. The Rock makes it a little harder to enjoy as well.

One of my favorite dark comedies, and Brendan Gleeson is also outstanding in it. There are many theories on what that movie is actually about, but I won't bring any up as it would spoil the fun for those who haven't seen it.
