The mistakes on the PowerPoint are still making me angry.

1. I love PowerPoints and do many a meme to entertain my coworkers so I take typos and errors DEEPLY PERSONALLY.
2. Prosecutors and defense attorneys should, in theory, have easy access to the most updated jury instructions PRIOR to trial because you know what you have to argue/prove in order to streamline your closing arguments.
3. I just don't see how you get that stuff wrong without some sort of gross incompetence or intent. JMHO.

I am so ashamed that this went to trial. As I have often stated, there are many reasons I am no longer a prosecutor but I certainly don't want people like me to be replaced by people with no compunction, ethics, or common sense whatsoever BECAUSE THIS IS WHERE YOU END UP.

"During the cross-examination of Shannon, prosecutors questioned him about his multiple NIL deals, receiving free Nike merchandise through the school, and driving to Kansas in a brand new BMW." - Is this talented athlete shaming?

While we wait, I'll tell a story by Jack Handy.

You know, in war, instead of throwing hand grenades, I think we should throw those tiny little pumpkins. Then, when the enemy comes out to see what these little pumpkins are...that's when we throw the real hand grenades.

I’m not exactly sure what I’d say to any other juror in the room who said “Yeah, I think he’s guilty”, but I’m sure it would be something similar to…….

Being able to stay updated on what's happening in the courthouse via Gillfilan's tweets has made this a completely different experience than it would have been otherwise.

Regardless of the jury's decision, this is going to be a trending topic on the news. I'm not looking forward to seeing the toxicity on other non-Loyalty platforms.

I saw a lot of commentary on the defense going after the testimony of the victim. Unfortunately, that has come as a result of a flimsy case from the DA. I think the attorney did a good job of not accusing the victim of lying as much as he did lay out the inconsistency of that testimony. It's not the majority of the defense argument either.

The whole point is to establish reasonable doubt. It doesn't have to be the same doubt for all jurors. It just has to be there for one of them?
