I had a jury experience where we deliberated for ~6 hours and ended up 11-1, mistrial. The 1 basically refused to acknowledge the facts of the case and insisted the rest of us were being irrational. It was a mess. I was the jury foreperson and had to explain to the judge and courtroom we could not reach a verdict and this person was threatening to go home..
End this already
I can't imagine they would have come back this quickly with a "split the difference". At least I hope not.My fear from a while ago- https://www.illinoisloyalty.com/post/tsj-thread.34517/post-2091323
Gotta be not guilty.I can't imagine they would have come back this quickly with a "split the difference". At least I hope not.

Took about 1hour 40 minutes for a verdict, hopefully that’s positive for TJ
That is a VERY fast verdict for a criminal trial. Seems like all jurors must have been very aligned. While fast deliberations generally benefit the prosecution, I think this is likely good news for TSJ.
Given that it's an "it happened or it didn't" kind of case it doesn't really seem like a split the difference scenario, but anything can happen with a juryI can't imagine they would have come back this quickly with a "split the difference". At least I hope not.
