I'm kinda glad we get a little bit of a break while the rest of the conference has some good matchups. There will be 9 games tipping off in the B10 between now and our game with NU. A chance for the standings to shake themselves out a little bit. Michigan and Ohio State each have a couple, as does Rutgers, teams just below us in the standings.

I would like to see it where the Top 4 break off from everyone else. Us, Wisconsin, Purdue, and either Michigan State or Ohio State. As much as I want to win the conference, I just as much want that double bye in the B10 tournament.
We're gonna beat Purdon't in that tournament, if they make it.

The MSU loss to WI may just have done that. We shall see.

I really feel like this will be a blowout ......we are playing at much higher level than we were in our first matchup with NW.....I'm predicting a 15-20 pt win and we play everyone that is in uniform

Northwestern didn't kick the gift horse in the mouth ... just the owner. Tonight earlier, IU coach Mike Woodson before the game announced the suspension of 5 players, 2 of whom were starters. IU could have still beaten NW in Evanston but ran out of gas in the last 5 mins.

I’m still trying to find out what they did…must have been pretty serious.

What do you guys think about starting RJ at the 2 or 3 and bringing plummer off the bench the rest of the season? Plummer's defense hurts, even if he is a great shooter. RJ might actually have a good shot and play better D than Plummer, so its worth it to find out. Plus its demoralizing for other teams to see a lethal shooter like Plummer and Curbelo coming off the bench to torch them after dealing with Kofi, Trent, DMW and Grandi

Uhmm.. Without Plummer's hot streak in the first half against Purdue we might lose that game by 50..

I get his defense isn't the best but he does so much for our spacing on offense in addition to the points he scores

RJ would love to get caught up in a running game, and as a freshman he probably wouldn't know when to hold back. That would kill us against MSU, Rutgers, and ofc Purdue.

These scoring droughts, 19-2 in the first half there, are going to have to stop happening so I can enjoy the final four this year

Nope. Fonso is playing 30 mins a game, averaging 15 pts and shooting > 40% from both three-pt range and overall. There's no way RJ is ready to approach any of those numbers. He's solid for short spells, and he'll move up the curve by next season. Granted, Plummer's D leaves something to be desired. Without his mins and shot, we're not within shouting distance of the title.

It's much less demoralizing to other teams to see a shooter like Fonso waiting on the bench to enter than it is to try to stick with him off ball screens as he pops.
