I think Hawkins has shown he can shoot a better 3pt % if he takes them in the flow of the offense and doesn't think too much. As stated several times, if the offensive flow is like it was against Wisconsin, we'll get more rhythm shots.

This is not the Nebraska of the last couple years. They are streaky but have several players that might give us trouble. Walker is the obvious one but I'm concerned about Greisel and Gary. Both guys are very physical and can score in the paint.

Nebraska as a whole is not a good shooting team from 3 so goal should be to get them to jack up threes.
How did that work for Iowa.? Answer: huge mistake as Huskers seemed to throw it in from everywhere..

Simply, 3 pt. shooting is volatile, even for the best shooting teams as Iowa was something near 2 for their first 29 shots that night...and the Hawks can shoot the rock as a norm. Bottom line is to know what your guy wants to do and work your butt off to take that away and make him do new things to score. Even then, that may not work if you let them gain some confidence and easy baskets. Consistency is required. Get good shots and play good defense....usually works out...especially if you do it together. Team chemistry must take another step forward and blunders kept to a minimum by paying attention.

I remember when Nebraska beat Wisky last game of the regular season at Wisky. Virtually no one gave them a shot. Never take anyone lightly in this league. This team almost beat Purdue earlier in the year. If we play subpar again, we lose.
