I agree with you- in today’s system I don’t blame the players at all for reclassifying to get paid a year early and get in a college program, even if it means you stay in college 2-3 years instead of one, it’s probably worth it for most kids

It seems like everyone is saying Fears wants to be one and done - but he was never likely to be one and done - and this may be an acknowledgement of that, if he’s going to be in college for a few years and transfer a couple of times to get the money and chance to shine, it makes some sense to do that a year early so you are going in the draft a year younger- he’ll be old enough to be draft eligible next year anyway, may as well have a year of college under your belt the first year you are eligible

right. continuing here, the primary objective for these elite kids is getting to the League. what is Fears going to get (game wise) from playing prep ball (vs. high major D1)? I mean, there's no comparison. we're gonna start seeing more of these re-class moves, no doubt about it.

Seems like it's consensusly belived that the three of Florida, Miami, Duke are all heavily involved with Cayden and Cameron. Don't know where we might fit into that list with Cayden...and the thought of them possibly not playing together...didn't expect it to be much of an option initially at all tbh...we'll see where it goes I guess...

Hope we can snag a visit though. Just got a gut feeling they might take a peek at the Brown kid from OTE (could be wrong but saw Derek talk about him the other day). Def. looks like staff is prioritizing that ball handling guard spot and looking to aim high...certainly think being able to get one of those top tier guys at that spot would be really instrumental.

He needs a year of development. Where are you going to develop more, as a HS senior or at a major college program? And getting paid to do that? Major bonus especially for a player who doesn't plan on being in college for 4 years anyway.
If he is in HS he is playing 40 minutes a game. If he is at OK and stuck on the bench I don't know how much he improves.

Oklahoma

2024-5
Starting guard McCollum 13 ppg transferred to GTech
Starting guard Egweh 11 ppg transferred to Kentucky

Returning guard JR Uzan 30 mpg 9 ppg
Koby Elvis transferred in from Dayton 9 ppg starter at Dayton
Jadon Jones transferred in from LBS 12 ppg starter at Long Beach State
Brycen Goodline transferred in from Fairfield 14 ppg 5th year

some competition for playing time. OK was 20-12 last year 8th place in Big 12. Declined NIT invite (Porter is weird)

He'll be practicing and training with college kids and maybe he won't be stuck on the bench

@Indy Illini Fan Just one quick question. Not to long ago you said we would land Jasper and now we didn't even make the top 5. I'm not mad about it i'm just wondering what happened exactly.
He never said we would get Jasper..he said we were a dark horse. It amazes me how we try to piss off insiders on this board. I for one appreciate what they bring to this site

Porter Moser has had 2 great seasons in 18 years. Not sure how much Jeremy will learn playing for him.
