I would imagine Oklahoma has some money and Moser is a good coach(even if I don't think he's a great fit at OU). He completely out coached Brad in that 2nd Rd upset.

Oklahoma hasn't had an off-season filled with big names but they have brought in a bunch of older players. If you look at their roster it's a bunch of grad transfers and upper classman.

I would assume that some promises were made but I don't know if there are a ton of minutes or shots for Fears there this year as a 17 year old reclass in the SEC. Good opportunity to develop though.

Oklahoma has added 4 5th or 6th year senior guards that were all successful in smaller conferences last year. Also, added another guard that was the number 2 juco recruit that's a RS-jr.

The hope is that we won't need him back (Cayden)...

but did see the Bossi guy on 247 say we might be a destination if he decides to hit the portal...don't know how much of that is legit but...

Can't say I would hate the idea of getting him on campus when he was originally supposed to but with a year of college experience under his belt.

It sounds pretty far fetched to me. Jeremiah had some misgivings over us not treating him the same as our other reclass targets IIRC. Misgivings generally don't fade that quickly. If nothing changes about this coaching staff, I don't expect it will matter. We'll be a player in the stakes for the most coveted transfer targets. We're already in on top 2025 talent.

Saw OA and GA left hand side of the screen.

Cam was terrific. Not the absolute most perfect game for Cayden but near triple-double nonetheless. Don't really know why Cayden's listed as a shooting guard...seems like pure point guard IMO...

and a really good one! Can really pass it on the break, efficient in half court play, and just a great floor general overall.

Three years of missing the tournament, definitely a tier below us, as expected. No way he remains No. 24 reclassifying to 2024.
My Pollyanna take: He plays for a major (but lesser team), in a major conference, gets lots of experience, then comes back to Illinois to a real major team. I don’t think the staff would have anything against that since there seem to be some mitigating reasons he reclassified.
