Was talking KY. They don't have a 5 star in '24 and...looking at their offer sheet...doesn't seem like they're the frontrunner on any 5 star in '25 either. They had two in state 5 stars in the state of KY and will likely get neither (per the on3 article).

They might get one five star maybe...because it is indeed KY...but was just saying it seems like a things have taken a step back...and responding to the guy's comment.

The KY faithful should be happy about the way things are going. They had concluded that getting the top players, those that would be one-and-done players, was not how to win in the portal era, so they ran Cal off. So now they are unhappy that they are going to experience how the rest of the world has had to try and build a successful team.
Who knows. Maybe they will have some success.
But I am not betting my beach house on it.

Well, they were half right…at least.
That isn’t how to win in the portal era. I would argue that model was on its way out for a while now.

For another thing, they weren’t wrong that Cal wasn’t getting it done. (1 championship in 15 years with the best talent that money can buy)

Just because Pope doesn’t seem to be setting the world on fire on the recruiting trail…that doesn’t mean they should have kept Cal IMO. It’s more of an indictment of the maneuvering ineptitude of Barnhart. That was the most embarrassing coaching search ever. I mean we’re talking Kentucky-for crying out loud. They got nerfed at every turn.

They came to the table with a pretty legit NIL offer … And promised to give him the keys from day 1 …

But Jasper just still isn’t sure about Pope … It might be UK now but come next spring if UK doesn’t perform well … I could very easily see him re open his recruitment …

And I still think him being so undecided about Pope leads him to Bama now … It’s the best decision for him …

I don’t think we’ll get as much traction as some people think …

Florida kid … NIL doesn’t matter … Can go anywhere he wants because of his brother and they’ve never played apart …

If that's what ends up happening spring of 2025, hope we'll still have a shot...I guess.

Even if it means the slightest of bits, def. got me leaning KY - I mean...better than him going to Bama and having to play against him in '25 - '26.

We of course know the staff is prioritizing Cayden, but any word on how they might feel about Cameron? Is the plan more of: it's just Cayden, it's only Cayden, not much interest for/from Cameron...or is it more of: let's show Cayden the love, prioritize him, try and get him on board first but also take a look at Cam along the way...?

Curious...not necessarily out of preference for either one...but rather because...it seems very easily concludeable that both of their recruitments might be pretty intertwined.

Cameron is the #2 recruit in the country. They might just not have a legitimate shot at him.
