With at least three other alpha dogs in the lineup most of the time, I am not sure there is another PG in college hoops who could have contributed more to the Cats success as a 17-18 yo over two seasons than Kylan. Having watched Az. play a couple of dozen times over his two seasons, he is certainly capable of doing anything asked on the floor. Now, back home in Champaign, getting "Fletched", and with BU giving him more rein with teammates of elite talent, a huge step up is not out of the question. My only concern is does he have the quickness and athleticism to show out at an NBA level. Making no claims to know for certain as that is a fool's errand, we will just have to wait and see. What I do know is that a rising tide floats all ships....and he can be the tide.Kylan is going to have to be WAY better than he was at Zona for that to happen. Hope it happens, but that would be a major, major jump.
In tandem with Kasparas and White, we may see shades of the '05 Illini !!! It will also give DGL an opportunity to steady his play without playing hero ball....just hit open shots and he will be a hero. The frontcourt will be extremely young and inexperienced....but also extremely talented.
