Great post! I for one will not lose any sleep over the course of the next week or so. I love this team as it sits right now.

You lose more guys than you pursue. It's the nature of recruiting. Bill Self used to say "If you aren't hearing a lot of 'no's' you're not going after the right guys.

Adding Riley would push our class into Elite territory. But even if we don't get him, we have an excellent group coming in.

I need this one. I moved down to kentucky last fall from illinois and the fans down here are unbearable. They think kentucky will get anyone they want. They are shocked when someone rejects them. Even after one and done tournament exit and choosing their 4th or 5th choice for coach. they are as obnoxious as ever. Please will riley...please give me something to shut these asshats up

Agreed, went to college in Phoenix. The “real” summer is pretty oppressive.

Not too worried about Riley either way. Sometimes those 5 star frosh come in and make a big impact. Sometimes not. And if we took him that likely leaves a pretty good player as the odd man out.

He’d be great to have, it would be cool to see an Illini as a first round or lottery pick, and I hope we get him. But he’s a cherry on top. I’m very happy to just roll with Ty, Tre, Humrichous, and Booth at our forward/wing positions.

Have to think Illini coaches were all in on Riley, as most of the other go-to shooters left have already been claimed. Do not see a visit planned for Catchings.
