Have we ever landed a blockbuster recruit where insiders became bearish/uncertain in the final stretch? This may be confirmation bias but it feels like that never happens. When insiders have doubts, it's over.

This kid wasn't even on our radar and him not attending UI isn't going to break the season. Comparing his decision with the Cliff Alexander debacle is wacky.

That's why I'm interpreting Indy drinking bourbon as a celebratory drink. There's no reason to drown our sorrows if we don't get him. Riley is just gravy at this point (some of the best gravy you've ever had)

What I thought was funny about the Cliff debacle was he, his parents, and his teammates thought they were bigger than the University of Illinois. Illinois is at a good place academically and athletically. Cliff and those around him, where are they now? They rode their 15 minutes of fame (which is about the amount of playing time Cliff got at KU). Life if about a collection of decisions both right and wrong.

But the video is hilarious. And honestly, for a while there, it seemed like we were always "clsoe, but no cigar." Luckily, Brad Underwood and Josh Whitman's leadership, along with Ayo changed all that..

May or may not have made a Kuck Fansas shirt after cliffmas. To this day, one of the most classless moves I've seen by someone picking a school/team. Don't have to pick the beloved, but have a little respect.

Maybe he knew he was gonna flake and did UofI a solid by providing perpetual fuel for the motivation board.
