Top to bottom without a doubt most talented team BU has had here. Future is way too bright.

I still don't see a world where Ty Rodgers is not starting. He's just so much the culture guy and does so many things needed to win ballgame that don't exact show up in the boxscore

But the question is: where do you put him?

🤔

Kasparas and, if true, Riley, aren't and won't be coming here to come off the bench. IMO
Programs get in trouble when unseasoned (in the college game) recruits come in with outsized expectations of playing time/role. I hope that BU would not pander to the wishes of a recruit if doing so is not in the best interest of the product on the court. If we play better with Ty's experience, intangibles, and defense than we do with Riley or KJ -- no guarantee given Ty's lack of a shot -- I suspect BU will be fine ruffling their feathers. At the end of the day, what's said to recruits in April/May is rarely how things develop when the season starts, particularly now that we're more established as a program.

I gotta say I really don’t see it with Booth. I feel like Tre White has a better shot if anything. Really excited ab all the other additions and sure Booth is talented and a good athlete, but his shot selection is really poor (way too many 3s for a guy with his athleticism and size) and while he does have a jumper, the form looks really rough imo, and the percentages reflect that. I’m probably just being too harsh on a freshman, and I’m sure he’ll get better with time, but I think the NBA is a long way away for him based on what I’ve seen. Would be happy to be proven wrong
Kid has NBA written all over him, 2 years of development and on to the league. His shot is fine.has everything else teams desire.

If anyone sits for TY it would be Kasparas. Both KJ and Riley are freshman, and yes Riley is recessing but he is already 18 (or will be at the beginning of the season at least) and would actually be a VERY old freshman if he stayed in 2025.

Plus, considering what one of the insiders said a few weeks ago, BU considers TY more of a guard than a forward. Riley is more of a forward while KJ is a guard.

Finally we all know TY cannot shoot the ball at all. He needs shooters around him, and KJ is a good shooter but Riley is better. If TY starts the better fit around him would include Riley, not KJ.
Seems the opposite to me. Riley is a SF that could definitely play shooting guard. He has good handles and his shooting is off the charts. TY is a 4 that could play PG in an emergency as he has decent court vision and handles. But he can't shoot worth a damn.

BU had/has two monumental tasks.

1) Formulating a roster solely from the portal. That looks to be a big, bright check.

2)Meshing the roster and managing personal feelings of individual players on the fly. Not sure a complete turnover of this size has ever happened before? If this team ends up as a top 4 team in the conference(multiple byes in the BTT) and to the 2nd weekend....he's the COY.

The roster is an unknown from top to bottom with great pieces that we don't know will fit. It'll be fascinating to watch unfold, especially with the schedule that he lined up.

It was fun watching last season but yes, depending on how many layups we give. Nothing more frustrating than layups and fast breaks

Oh, and team defense is key but I haven’t seen us doing it consistently
With the length, strength and athleticism that we have, (not sure about overall quickness) being a good defensive team should boil down to effort and matchups…coaching staff will provide matchups…hopefully players provide the other

Morez seems like he could play the 5 easily and slide to the 4 to bang while Ivisic stretches the floor as the 5. I hope he carves out a big role. Seems like it will be an absolute battle for minutes next year which is excellent.
