What generally happens with this is someone who has been in a position to share information most are not privy to will tell us what they know. Someone will ask them how they should feel about the recruit in question. A generous "insider" will post their own feelings or how they are being told the staff feels. The poster then takes this as gospel the recruit is locked up and Illinois-bound. Then, if the recruit does not end up at Illinois, the sharer is then blamed and/or chastised for "getting everyone's hopes up."You are likely correct, but I also am onboard with any fishing expedition for more info. Agree. It might be more about trust and what had been communicated to you when you signed up. Like, we will only add one more and that will be the 12th man, but then you see them recruited an ace...
Just saying. Kids have the right to do what's best for themselves. It's hard to sell the idea of a championship alone, now.

Obviously not an insider by any means but it seems like Purdue fans aren’t super upset about losing Kanon. Instagram comments (mind you INSTAGRAM COMMENTS) are full of people saying he was toxic and not a hard worker. Obviously Brad an Co do their research but I don’t think we should all hop on the Kanon train quite yet.
Have to say, it really bothered me. Never imagined this opportunity coming. Reminds me of the player who Bruce Weber's wife delivered but went to another school. Can't remember the player at the moment...

This is true.....if all of those options didn't get shared within the same 24 hours. Most notably, a brand new "target".
I suppose that the expectation should be....don't have expectations.
Not crazy enough to be too picky, but the ceiling of next years team is significantly higher with Riley.

It sounds like every fan base when they lose a commit. And sometimes it's actually true.
His Overtime Elite coach was just announced as a BYU assistant - that likely has more to do with this release than his interest in us, I'm sure he could get more NIL and playing time from BYU
