Hope this starts a strong overseas pipeline to Illinois
They may leave it at 11, could add one more. Depends on if they can find someone willing to take a lesser role/develop for a yearProjected starting lineup? Kylan, KJ, Ty, Ben, Tomi
Rotation: Dra, Tre, Carey, Morez, Jake
Insiders, any chance they leave it at 11 scholarship players / 10 rotation players? Giving current guys more tick may alleviate some of the pure money conversations next summer when we want to bring back as many guys as possible to run for a Natty.
2004-2005… 2 guards at this level (5*s)can't remember when we had 2 guys with legit PG skills...lol
That's a really good thing. Bill Self said something about wanting as many guys with PG skills on the court as you can get.can't remember when we had 2 guys with legit PG skills...lol
I mean, you never knew quite what you were getting with him, but just a couple years ago we had Curbelo alongside the Bob Cousy winner.can't remember when we had 2 guys with legit PG skills...lol
Pretty sure that's a (slightly) younger Tom Izzo in bed there...Big 10 coaches thinking about the Illini:
That's how I see it as well. He'll be defending the biggest guard threat each night and if he is able to take the next step in body control and finishing, I think there could be incredible chemistry between him Ivisic, Humrichous, as I would consider all of them as plus off-ball movers. Then you add Boswell's ability to drive and vision and Kasparas' vision and shot, both with ability to make the right reads and get the ball to the right person, and I see our offense being extremely difficult to defend. I have concerns about our perimeter defense, but we should be able to put up a lot of points. I do think it's Ty's starting spot to lose at this point though, and if he does take that next step offensively, I agree with you, look the hell out, he'll be on an All B10 list.Ty feels like the defensive and rebounding glue to make a lot of these lineups make sense. The time is now to buy stock in him because he's gonna get a ton of playing time.
Bryce Hopkins with more skill and a better shot.Someone give me a realistic comp for Kasparas's style of play.
Like a college version of Steve NashSomeone give me a realistic comp for Kasparas's style of play.
A shorter Larry BirdSomeone give me a realistic comp for Kasparas's style of play.
That's impossible.Bryce Hopkins with more skill and a better shot.
john havlicek (for us old guys) Non-stop, aggressively pressing the defense, Drive, drive, drive, great outside shooter.Someone give me a realistic comp for Kasparas's style of play.
PodzSomeone give me a realistic comp for Kasparas's style of play.
I will be interested to see how BU uses multiple PGs. The one thing BU is underrated at is adopting his style of play to the players he hasNice, now let the media and polls ignore us. I bet other B10 teams will know what we have
