This was said when their #1 was still on #9, where a 10 would have dropped them 6 shots. He shot a 5 and OK is safe.
TTU is done. We have the 15 teams making it to tomorrow.
This is better then my wildest dreams for the championship. Having this type of form over that last 2 weeks is so clutch. You never know what the hell is gonna happen in team golf and you can be playing great in practice and it all just goes so quick. To have the entire team clicking at the same time is amazing to say the least. Seriously, its outrageous that we tossed out a +1, that featured 17 pars and 1 bogey by Voois. 3 different rounds, 3 different guys we dropped a score from. I literally thought after looking at the 1st round scores that our +5 was excellent and if we could put that on repeat I would be thrilled. Nope we have just gotten better and better.
This performance by Max as a freshman is unreal. Its not like he just got crazy hot one day and is hanging on, he has been solid each day and fighting back from bogeys with birdies, its is a true class performance. Tyler also has been just outstanding. These guys have giving themselves a real chance of winning an individual national championship. I would be surprised if Wallin goes under today and also would be surprised if the lead is much more then -5 at the end of the day. Wouldn't be surprised if -4 gets it done. -6 is about as low as I would bet. There are big boys between Tyler/Max and Wallin. Sargent, Vilips and James are all top shelf players and could go deep and take control of this. Not to mention the hottest player in college and the number 1 ranked guy Clanton is -1. So lots of work to be done but if either of them catch fire we could have an individual winner on our hands.

The way Robert described it, Illinois is only delayed in starting by 15 minutes, so it must be sudden death.

Sounds like it might be a 3 hole total

1235 CT appears to be first tee times. I am thinking we will have a pretty good idea of whether Illinois makes the top 8 before they even start today.

Front 9 seems to be playing easy so far. GT missing lamprecht will cause them to not qualify sucks for them injuries are the worst.

Looking around the scoreboard, UNC and Tennessee are off to blistering starts but for the most part the teams are having their way with the course. We will need to keep up with that pace.
