Noblesville Illini
- Nappanee, IN
I am sensing that our marketing team has awoken.....
This took '100s of hours'. That's not something you want to admit to when rolling out whatever this is.That would somehow be cooler than this imo
Agree. I suppose I'm in the minority but I never wear orange. Would feel like Bozo. Hail to the Illini Blue.I kinda like this end zone, 1990:

That’s why they went to Mizzou . . . if they were smart, and handsome or beautiful, they would have come to Illinois.. . . .
Not sure how this goes towards the conversation here, but damn…. Mizzou fans are stupid.
I always wear blue as a fan, but that’s in like … normal social settings, lol. I’m fine with our gameday atmosphere embracing orange.Agree. I suppose I'm in the minority but I never wear orange. Would feel like Bozo. Hail to the Illini Blue.
I wear a lot of orange, but I'm an autumn.I always wear blue as a fan, but that’s in like … normal social settings, lol. I’m fine with our gameday atmosphere embracing orange.
While I do agree both colors were “fine”, the old orange was way too red for TV purposes. I doubt that’s why they changed it, but I’m kind of glad they did.
I'm guessing that has a lot to do with it. We are orange and we need to actually look orange. I wear lots of orange and blue and I want it to be orange and blue not red and blueThis might actually be the entire reason they changed it.
Try being a ginger in these circumstancesAgree. I suppose I'm in the minority but I never wear orange. Would feel like Bozo. Hail to the Illini Blue.
I woudnt mind a football uniform similiar to the Broncos during the RB Davis years. Also wouldnt mind one that resemble Bears dark blue/black jersey, dark blue/black helmet with white pants and orange stripe graphic
I don't get the feeling that "they" are calling the shots this time. I get the feeling that we finally have people in charge (BB + JW, BU +JW) who know what they want and want it done their way and done right.
Something tells me this isn't change for the sake of change, but rather it is change by people in charge who believe the details are important and can be improved upon.
I get the feeling that whatever "rebranding" is afoot will impress a much larger portion of us than what was done in the past under the watch of a moron (TB) and a somewhat aloof pro-football man (LS).
as much as I want new unis, Im okay with them getting the color right this year and doing the big change next year. With the change of color, is it wrong for me to expect them to unveil new uniforms this year instead of next year like they said? Why release the color change and make us wait a year?
I am firmly on team navy pants for all road gamesas much as I want new unis, Im okay with them getting the color right this year and doing the big change next year.
at least our helmets look way better than 3 years ago when the I was slanted forward on mistake
and for me? ditch the greys
and would like to see blue pants or jerseys sometime
I am not a big of the blue helmet, something just looked off to me. I can get behind O-B-O and O-O-W for home and O-W-O, O-W-B, or all white for away; there is just something slick about all white with the orange I and lettering.I am firmly on team navy pants for all road games

Ignoring the design elements and thinking only of the colors involved my preference is top left at home and bottom right on the road (But with the orange lid). No white pants or helmets ever, I know that's not the most popular take but it's my small hill to die on.
Thanks for this. Are there official pantone or whatever colors available for pre 2018? I really like this comparison and would love to see how it compares to earlier years.
Apparently MSU does. The new orange is vastly superior and it's not even remotely close. Guess I don't understand the controversy other than that we keep changing our freaking school color.
Does MSU change it's shade of green? Does Purdue change it's shade if gold? Am I just missing these events in college basketball?
