Montini is a good team but I’m not sure they are going to run through Byron. Considine and Talbert are very good players
Will be an absolute battle. Byron runs a great system and they execute their plan perfectly. Crazy things happen, but should they meet in the semis like last year, that is effectively the 3A title game. Last year Montini lost on a drop in the endzone. Walking out that game, the Byron side said that was the only 1 score game they played.
I know the Montini kids would love another shot at that one and I do believe it would be a different outcome this time around. Montini plays up alot and they compete. Israel is an upgrade at QB and is still learning their system. The kid he replaced earlier this season was the starter last year and pretty good himself.

Yeah that Byron team is a different monster. I believe that they are the best pound for pound team in this state and that they would acquit themselves in the UIL and FSHAA playoffs.

BTW has Considine committed anywhere?

It’ll be a game but before you said they will run through Byron. Ive known coach Bu and everyone at the Montini program for a long time going back to when he was the dc. I have known Israel for several years so I know exactly what they have. He’s a nice player but he’s still the 3rd qb instate for 2027. Taylor and Purcell are better

to what extent can we parlay our success this season into recruiting results? that is the big question. am well aware that staff is busting rear there. interest is most definitely picking up. but there's a huge difference between interest and landing them.

Maybe you get a recruit or two to finish this class if you finish string and a “right” coach or two is fired elsewhere.

The payoff should (NEEDS) to occur for 2026. I’m interested if the staff pushes for a slightly earlier-than-previously batch of commits with the change in strategy. Would be nice to get a couple well-regarded instate commits to lock in plan A guys, keep the PR machine going, and start “spreading” the recruiting pitch before the spring.

If there was ever a game to have a highly rated recruit from Michigan to visit, this one was indeed it. To get to see that pageantry and ceremony at Memorial Stadium and then watch as us make his state's flagship team look like has beens followed by the whole fanbase celebrating the win with the team, there's just no better recruiting sell than that. Just a gamechanger of a win if we play our cards right and capitalize
