there's more to it than that. OLs need to be tank-ified and learn our blocking schemes, blocking technique and our playbook. it's a lot. maybe after a redshirt year, he starts. but it's not a lock

100%. Oline isn’t plug and play. The further the you get away from the ball the easier it is to play. Theirs a lot of schemes and techniques he will need to learn. It’s also a very big jump going from the Chicago public league to the big10. One good thing with this kid is since he’s new to football he wouldn’t have any bad habits to break. Also big guys like to play high it will take awhile to learn how to play with leverage.

Really since the Fears recruitment, I've just about tuned out of BBall recruiting. You do cartwheels over a big recruit and then it blows up. Where we're at in basketball, it's almost comical to think that what we're doing with 2026s and beyond matters. we're playing the recruiting game at a high level and visits barely matter.

Entirely different here in football and I can't be more excited for the talent coming in. I was really worried we had lost some momentum last year and that it would carry over to this year. But the big win and good ground work by this staff has things going really well. A bowl game is a must, but man if we could get to that 7 or 8 win season, we'll really turn the corner.

It’s been named that since 1924, so not really a new thing.

Long story short, St. Louis Academy was founded in 1818 as a secondary school, grew to include a college division, and was eventually granted university status. The high school incorporated separately and moved to its own facilities in 1924.

For a school with an enrollment of only 300 too.
Selective 300.

The High School also has kids that compete athletically in JH as a number of their students skip (skippees (sp)) 8th grade yet still participate in JH sports.
