Nothing official on this...but it feels like Charles Bass is a 🔒 for Mizzou.

Jenkins ain't happenin either (officially - didn't make his top 4). Still in a good spot with Terry Shelton? Think he could be a solid consolation prize. Land him, and that would make it 3 top 800 WRs.

We obviously know about Forster...hope we stand well there as well...

If true, it’s going to mean striking out on the upper crust of last week’s visitors

I’d say Bass to Mizzou is a safe bet …

Skelton likes Stepp …

Forster is going to Rutgers …

Rutgers now has 8 four stars or near four star level guys and currently has the #9 class in the country. Goodness...

We could use some of that...

Commits like Chandler, Brooks, White, etc. are always talked about fondly and you can squint to see some good traits in them, but big picture, we're likely in for some rough waters ahead (not a surprise), as we can't recruit with the most of the rest of the B1G. We'll have some company with NW, IU, MSU, but it's not sustainable. Rutgers has 5 four-star commits this month. That's like our 3-year quantity if we're fortunate

obviously , we all want a roster loaded with 5* & 4* talent as opposed to just having one or two

BUT

it’s not like teams are destined for 5-7 or 4-8 seasons if they are not . It’s just that it makes it easier for the coaches come summer camp and the season if more of your players are super quick or super large & strong .

we need to give the process time .
I have faith in BB . As a team , we are better now than every year since 2007. Good things will start happening soon .

We are so fortunate that Coach Bielema was willing to take this extremely difficult job. The long game and laying the foundation is more important than individual recruits. We have to be patient myself included. We need to do everything we can to Support this coach and this program. Josh and coach Bielema are doing are great job building a program we can be proud of. Better days are ahead.

I may be going out on the limb with this but I believe The Illini can be the surprise team in Big 10. The offense should be good enough. My concern is the 3rd and long against our secondary that we may give up and continuing the drives. I think 7-5 and on a possible broken Limb 8-5.
