I will be shocked if (1) our HC/OC wants a dual threat QB after the position changes and recruiting priorities in the 2022 class or (2) a good dual threat QB would be willing to commit to the program because of the aforementioned reasons and offensive approach throughout the 2021 season.
I hope you're shocked then! If a team has a QB that dual threat and also can run the football, makes it very tough to defend. Who knows, Peters and Sitkowski were like statues and there wasn't a 3rd option besides IW and that wasn't going to happen unless both went down. I doubt we saw much of the Offense BB wanted to run.

Brian Kelly leaving ND....

I'm guessing these guys are outside of Illinois' weight class but I would be checking in on a few of their commits:

Tyson Ford - Top 200 edge rusher from St. Louis (*Illinois offer)
Joey Tanona - Top 200 OT from Zionsville, IN
Eli Raridon - Top 250 TE from Des Moines (*Illinois offer)
Ashton Craig - Top 500 OT from Lawrenceburg, IN

Having a dual threat QB makes it 11v11 and requires a lot of extra prep and can require a man to key on him, effectively removing them from coverage except for playing a shallow zone underneath.

I'd take any quarterback at this point.

Saw a name from the past in the transfer portal — Ayodele Adeoye. Pretty certain Lovie recruited him — played at IMG but from St. Louis. Doesn’t look like he killed it at Texas and have no idea how he’d fit in BB/RW system, but Illinois has had pretty good luck with an Ayo in the past.

Injuries seem to have derailed his career. Think I would pass on this one...

What is the possibility of Jacardia Wright coming back home and playing for the ILLINI ?? He has just entered the transfer portal and has 3 years of eligibility left.
