It would be nice if a guy like Aj Henning wanted to transfer. We desperately need playmakers that are ready to contribute right away. There will be a lot of quality QBs and WRs in the portal, let’s hope we can get some.
If we could somehow make inroads with this high school, that would be amazing. Hoover is one of the nation’s best when it comes to high school football.
Apparently, this kid started playing football when he was a sophomore and weighed 200lbs. He’s now 250 and 6’5. Looks good to me!

They want him to play in the interior. Hand in the groundGreat size for an OLB in the 3-4 defense. If he has the speed and athleticism.
Yes indeed! New coach, though.Wait, is this the school from Two-a-Days on MTV?
Saw Werner’s retweet that said he is 2022 athlete from Stagg that Illini are recruiting as a DB.Long time follower first time poster. Was doing some perusing on Twitter and came across an unknown kid from the state of Illinois that received his first offer.
Unless this turns into a Jimmy Rolder situation I would assume we have a future Illini on our hands.
They talk about track in his bio so I looked up his numbers. 25.19 200 and 18’1.25” long jump are not crazy fast or explosive numbers. The 200 was into the wind to be fair but it’s marked as his personal best so still not blazing. Just found it interesting.Got 2 CBs today for a 3-star CB out of FL

Those are very, very mediocre #'s. I was a distance runner and had better sprint #'s than that. On the flip side, nice offer list! They talk about track in his bio so I looked up his numbers. 25.19 200 and 18’1.25” long jump are not crazy fast or explosive numbers. Had no offers whatsoever in October; Illini offered him and soon the floodgates opened and all the top schools across the country started offering him. Essentially went from a no star to a highly sought after 4 star overnightWhat is the Jimmy Rolder situation?
He’s now committed per tweet by Werner. Doesn’t say whether scholarship or preferred walk-on. 24/7 has him listed as 6-2, 190 pound unranked safety.Long time follower first time poster. You probably saw already in the article it says he was offered a scholarship. He’s now committed per tweet by Werner. Doesn’t say whether scholarship or preferred walk-on. 24/7 has him listed as 6-2, 190 pound unranked safety.
Spoon/Taz Nicholson vibes from GriffinI'm more optimistic for a guy like Griffin than Terrell Jones. Griffin is the classic late bloomer during an unprecedented time of players being unknown due to the pandemic. Jones has been a known commodity for some time at one of the more well-known prep football areas in the country. Both of these commits seem like scouting plays by the staff. It would be a nice win for the staff if one of them turns out to be a starter in the long-term.
