Rolder checking at #10 in the state now… he’d be our highest rated Illinois commitment.Hope we get a four star linebacker from the home state. Looks like a Wisc type linebacker.

I really like Barnes, Hart and Tolson at ILB, but can't help but think that BB would like to have some bigger guys inside, like Sanborn/Chenal @ WI.I think it was an issue for Lovie because he also wasn't building relationships with HS coaches and the portal was becoming our only way to get talent. I think BB will likely have a year of heavy transfer, but he also is making a show of building relationships that looks like we could eventually have consistent recruiting.
BB would have to approve him playing both. A lot of football coaches do not allow it.He can play both like Kyle Hudson

Being in the race is an improvement. Means we are starting to be in the ears of some HS coachesFour star DL Selah Brown announced tonight that Illini is in his top 3 along with Louisville and Northwestern. He’s from Louisville and 4 crystal balls for that school, so not sure how much of a chance Illini have. No date given for his commitment date — just said soon.
O Line, O Line, and more O LineNo names mentioned, but Werner said this week he expected BB to be actively looking at Juco ranks. Jamari Jones is the #1 ranked QB. Anyone have any clues who might be looking at?
So, what you're saying is, we need more offensive lineman that can run block and pass protect?O Line, O Line, and more O Line
Guards. We need bigger interior lineman. And yes we need a QB and DBs are a position they are looking to upgrade through the JUCO market. So, what you're saying is, we need more offensive lineman that can run block and pass protect?
QBs and DBs would be nice, too.
The CB's are all from a good bit of time ago. I think there's a chance here. What is "Frist"?Yes, but …
Any Regrats?Yes, but …
It means not last, duh, cuz if you're last, you ain't frist. What is "Frist"?
The guys who have committed in the incoming class look like hogs and could definitely develop quickly.Wow, BB says not a single O-Linemen from the last three classes is worthy of a two-deep spot? Offensive Lineman, a strong point of all his Wisconsin teams is a must! Time to find some monsters who want to play and want to win!
Definitely wouldn't hurt to get Collier in there. He's more mobile and more of an athlete than Sitkowski and can develop nicely in Petersen's offenseI also would like to see Collier get some reps this year. As others have said, "Big and strong arm." What can it hurt? I wonder if IW would have stayed at qb would he be starting? That is not to say that the Johnson kid might be a suitable replacement. Watching Sitkowski from his Rutgers days he hasn't changed that much. I just don't think he is the answer either.
Not that I'm against the idea of Collier (heck, I'd be open to having tryouts in The Grove before each home game...might be able to uncover an Uncle Rico waiting for his big chance) but does anybody have any idea where he is on the mythical depth chart? Preseason estimates I saw had him buried behind Robinson and Johnson which has to make you wonder. The guys who have committed in the incoming class look like hogs and could definitely develop quickly.

I believe he is not on the official depth chart ( I believe most team do 3-4 deep) My guess is that he after Johnson but Johnson is a preferred walk on.Not that I'm against the idea of Collier (heck, I'd be open to having tryouts in The Grove before each home game...might be able to uncover an Uncle Rico waiting for his big chance) but does anybody have any idea where he is on the mythical depth chart? If we move IW to qb who is he going to throw to? He's been our only reliable receiver so far this seasonI believe he is not on the official depth chart ( I believe most team do 3-4 deep) My guess is that he after Johnson but Johnson is a preferred walk on.
No offense to BP or Sitkowski but neither one has been reading the field well and been able to get the ball to the WRs even on check downs. I can recall watching BP missing wide open Barker or Ford on 2-3 yard out on check down plays.
Also, any chance we can put I.W back at QB? At least it would move the sticks and possibly put some life into this stagnant offense

I highly doubt we’ll see IW back at QB. If BB thought IW had any future as a QB then I don’t think he would have made the position switch. And he’s shown ability at WR, so switch seems to be working. Plus after seeing how bad he missed Peters a few games ago, throwing still isn’t his strength.I believe he is not on the official depth chart ( I believe most team do 3-4 deep) My guess is that he after Johnson but Johnson is a preferred walk on.
